Restricting host access to files
I suppose that this is a question about fileserver.conf but what I''m trying
to do is to have something like the following in fileserver.conf:
[$hostname]
path /var/lib/puppet/files/privatefiles/$hostname.txt
allow $hostname
Basically, this would allow access to a file named <hostname>.txt for only
the host to which it should be delivered.
I''m not entirely sure

tripp lite SMART2200RMXL2U -- empty ups.status
Hello. I'm new to nut and don't know if I've missed something in
setting it up or if my ups isn't quite supported. I'm using these:
- svn version of nut (downloaded on 9/13/06)
- a tripp lite SMART2200RMXL2U
- debian sarge with 2.6.8 kernel
- the tripplite_usb driver (newhidups says my ups is not supported)
I figured out how to get the device perms correct.

dyn.load(), DLL, Fortran, TLNise software
Dear all,
I would like to call TLNise ("Two-Level Normal indipendent sampling estimation")
software within R.
This software estimates a hierarchical model and it can be download from
Philip Everson's website at
"http://www.swarthmore.edu/NatSci/peverso1/TLNise/tlnise.htm".
The TLNise software consists of:
1) a Fortran source code (tlnisemv1.f) and
2) a Splus code (TLNisemv1.src)
To use this codes within R:
1) I compiled the source code using g77 (from MinGW).
I typed "g77 -c tlnisemv1.f" to create a For...

How to make a figure plotting p-values by range of different adjustment values?
Hi all,
Thank you for taking the time to read my message. I'm trying to make a
figure that plots p-values by a range of different adjustment values.
(Using the **logit** function in package **car**)
My Statistical analyses were conducted on probability estimates ranging
from 0% to 100%. As it's not ideal to run linear models on percentages that
are bounded between 0 and 1, these

GSoC and SAFECode
Hi, everyone.
I'm a senior at Swarthmore College and would love to work with LLVM this
summer. I'm interested in systems languages and security, and I'll start
a PhD on these topics this fall. I also do a good deal of open source
development and auditing with OpenBSD and a variety of other projects.
I spent last year's GSoC d...

windows programs fine, but while I can move wine windows around, I
cannot resize them. Windows come up at full screen width and height,
and so while I can maximize, that only recenters it to take up the
whole screen and does no resizing.

rsync for cray t3e's
hi there--
i'm rather new to rsync, but I've been very happily using it for around
a month or two now, and I keep finding all kinds of new uses for it.
one thing i've been doing lately is using rsync to keep all my config
files in sync on the 20 some-odd machines on which I have accounts. I
was just setting this up for an account i have on a cray t3e machine
running (what i believe
