Swaping out phones.
I have a quick question. I am using Asterisk 1.4. I have a user that has changed phones (grandstream budge tone 200 to a polycom 330). I have changed the sip.conf and extensions.conf. I have also unplugged the old phone and plugged in the new phone. I get the ext showing on the phone, but when I do a sip show peer 5000 the old ip address and phone show up. I did a sip reload and a dialplan reload.

uidswap
All, Could someone explain the purpose of the uidswap functions with respect to ssh ( the client ). From what I gathered , ssh installs as setuid root and swaps ids when reading potential key files that may be read only by root. Also , I think when binding to a privileged port ssh swaps id. Is that so? What are the consequnences if you do not install ssh setuid root? ( As far I as know no uid

LLVMBuildLandingPad is wrong on 3.7
...I'd like to add that having some actual testing for the C API would have prevented the whole confusion in the first place. I have a diff out to start moving in that direction: http://reviews.llvm.org/D10725 . The damn thing is out since June and nothing have moved since then. If core devs are swaped and can't handle this, please delegate. I know there is some discussion about the state of the C API, but the thread is dead for weeks now, reasonable options have been presented, and I'm not sure what is expected to move things here. ALL alternative proposed in the thread pretty much are b...

Macbook DHCP issue.
Hi folks, A while ago I setup my macbook pro to run TINC to my linux box. It's worked just swell since April. The other day it just stopped working. The connection comes up and everything seems fine but I can't DHCP a correct address. I followed the old setup instructions that were located here: http://www.tinc-vpn.org/examples/macbook-install/ They seem to be gone now. When I try and

Script to convert mboxes to maildirs?
Does anybody know of a script of a simple method of converting mbox mail stores to maildirs? I'm moving from an old pop3 system to imap and after installing about half our office with mboxes have found that mbox does not support subfolders which some people like to use. Is there any simple way of converting? I can go to each individual account and "manually" convert swaping data

mdct.c optimization
I took function mdct_butterfly_8 and write out transformation matrix. Then I rewrote this matrix into sequence of additions and substractions (see attachement). As I suspected I got the same as in the original code but I swaped some rows to get little higher speed. I hope I'll do the same with 16 point butterfly function combined with 8 point butterflies in a month. Who still believe that this approach will be slower? -------------- next part -------------- Itemize transcription of linear algebra transformation into o...

astonishing memory phenomenon
I have a question concerning memory. I understood that R takes a fixed amount of memory at startup (which I can influence with --vsize --nsize) and that gc() shows the memory still free of the total memory reserved for R. However, if I create a long vector of character data, gc() only seem to reflect the space needed for a vector of pointers to char, the space used for the character data itself

degraded performance under domain login load
...it was distro related) and to my surprise the same problem occurred, a class will come into the computer lab all try to login, kixtart will start do its login procedures and everything would login at a snail pace, to the point kixtart will lockup and generate errors!!! As the next test, i swaped the fresh installed freebsd system back in removed the latest samba from ports and manually installed samba 3.0.14 and the problem was resolved. This leads me to believe that this is not distro specific at all, however a serious problem in high load systems of login. Is there is a way to t...

ca.po Pz test question
Hello, I have a few questions about & Ouliaris Unit Root Test of type Pz 1) I noticed that critical values given in the article "Asymptotic properties of residual..." by Phillips and Ouliaris are different from those given by R. More presicely - they are swaped with each other. Could explain why? 2) that question is quite stupid. Can you explain what coefficients for test Pz mean? for Pu it is straight-forward - Var1~ Var2*k1 + intercept +u. and u is tested for having a unit root. for Pz there it looks like Coefficients: Estimate Std. Err...

Serial Ports and syslogd
Hello, It's a bit off topic, but I'm hoping someone has seen this before. I'm running a couple of headless boxes, one is 4.7 release, the other is 4.8 release. Both have the same issue with newsyslog when I've got the serial port enabled for console management. (-h in boot.conf and a getty running on cuaa0 after the boot process) Logrotate tries to send an HUP to syslogd, but
