[LLVMdev] Best way to clean up empty global_ctors
I talked about this with Nick in person months ago, and my understanding is
that GlobalOpt is also an enabling optimization that needs to run early.
For example, if we can eliminate an initializer to an internal global with
no other stores to it, we can propagate the result.
Maybe we should run it twice.

command line R; readline history
Hello,
I need help now. I installed R in my Solaris 5.8 box. But two things I am
missing comparing to my old Splus.
1. I used to invoke a command edit Splus by type "Splus -e". So I can surfer
in Splus like ksh environment. Can I do the same in R?
2. I used BSD version of R, which I can use "up" key to call back last
command. But in Sun, I can't make it happened. I reinstalled the readline
from GNU, hoping it help. But it didn't.
Please help me, if anyone know the answ...

Missing SDLT600's

The issue I have is I am missing 2 of the 4 SDLT drives provided by the
M1800 Library. The DX30 provides 6 drives, which are listed in dmesg
and assigned /dev/st0->5. I would expect the SDLT's to be st6->10 but I
only see up to st7 and dmesg only lists 2

Fwd: Alternatives to Squid
...ect: Alternatives to Squid
To: Gentoo User <gentoo-user@lists.gentoo.org>
Hi all,
I have an internet cafe connected on a not so fast leased line (64k).
I definately need to use a caching proxy. I currently use squid, and
it works fine. However if one of the terminals has a ''power surfer'',
they tend to use all of the bandwidth leaving not much for the other
terminals.
I have tryed squids delay pools, but they don''t really do what I want.
What I really need is to split all the bandwidth between the terminals
that are drawing traffic fairly.
I have setup tc qdiscs...

Blank certain areas of a contour plot
...servations collected over a number of raingauge stations sited over
land, over a regular lat/lon grid using akima's interp().
Then, I plot and locate geographycally the resulting field with a
filled.contour() and a call to map(). Everything is fine but I need to
"blank" (in Golden Surfer nomenclature) the areas of my domain that lay
over the sea, as I do not have observations there and structures are
completely artificial.
Is there any function out there that can use the mapsdata database to
"blank" the sea areas of my plot?
Otherwise, can anybody think of a shortcut...

Command prompt problem to solve software installation issue
...pt. At the command prompt, you must change the directory to where the capicom.dll file is stored and the regsvr32 capicom.dll command input must be entered. Upon the registration of the capicom.dll module, the full features of the CAPICOM module can be used?.
Can anyone help me, as a silver haired surfer, with some simple guidance. My past experience of a command prompt was that it looked like the old MS Dos window. How do you open such a window in wine and what would be the directory commands that would have to be used. I have tried using the run command with 'cmd' but no window opens? ? a...

Plotting a kriging on a map
Hi list,
Well, this time I’ve a doubt with mapping generation.
I was already able to read and plot shapefiles, plot point on this map. All
this without any problems, but now I want to do something that I think, only
Golden Software Surfer is capable of.
I would like to plot a kriging result on the existing map (map script
below). Well I looked for on the net, but I was not able to be sure of which
packages I’ll need to perform the kriging (maybe geoR?) and then plot it in
the area map.
Is R able to do that? What packages I need to...

In particular, my solution will not work if package:base is "sealed". Here's
the tail end of our last discussion:

Question :: groundstart and loopstart
Hello Astrites,
I was just about to send out a long email about not being able to detect hang-up with my CAC II FXO module on my PSTN POTS lines. I had tried many configurations. I had attached a toner to the line to see if I was getting this "disconnect supervision" signal after hang-up. (toner has a line powered light in the off position) It seemed that I was getting the signal,
