Hi: Have been testing the latest winamp plugins on my icecast2 stream (http://bumpy.braille.uwo.ca:9000/test.ogg <plug plug>) and I noticed that in the field where the player/browser is listed in the log entries I see Mozilla for the winamp plugin. I there was a discussion on the vorbis list about Real Audio SureStream (tm) format. The basic idea was that they put multiple RA files with different compression levels. So when they have to switch the bit rate due to bandwidth changes, they choose from the streams they have. Since peeling is a long time away, it could be implemented with ogg vorbis multiplexi...

Does Icecast support bandwidth negotiation like Real's server? If so, how would one configure this (can't find it in the docs or list archives). Apologies if this is a bit of a commercial post (I've not been lurking long), but you might like to know that the world's most listened-to online radio station has just launched an Ogg stream. (As of today!) http://www.virginradio.co.uk/thestation/listen/ogg.html (or alternatively www.virginradio.co.uk/thestation/listen from a non MSIE+PC browser). Any ideas you have to help promote this
