I don't know exactly the appropriate list to ask this question in but the web page gave me the impression this was. I don't particularly want to subscribe to the list as I can't handle the volume of messages which I'm not concerned with. I would just like to be able to ask a question concerning the email subject and receive ONLY replys to that message. I'm not too familiar with

Using CentOS 3 in and LVS?
Is it possible? For LVS you have to deal with something called the ARP problem (viz., the realservers should not respond to ARP requests for the hardware address associated with the virtual IP). This is solved with some sysctl stuff for kernel 2.2.x and for 2.4.26+, but of course CentOS 3 is 2.4.21. There's a kernel module "noarp" that's suppoed to work for all 2.4.x kernels

cifs mount issue (cannot read files)
In version 3.0.23a (as a file server), I've noticed that CIFS clients (mount samba shares as cifs) get read errors. For example, if the vi a text file on the share, they get a read error. If the more a text file, nothing comes back, but the prompt. In 3.0.10 (pre configured by Centos, not compiled by me) this is not a problem. Here are my 3.0.23a options during configure:

ThunkConnect32 Failure!
Greetings, I have tried to get IE5.5 & 6 running on Wine under FreeBSD 5.3. When I try to install DCOM98.EXE using Joachim's WineTools, it asks me "OK to install DCOM98 for Windows 98?" <Yes> Then I get the "Please read the following license agreement..." dialog <Yes>. Then I get a "ThunkConnect32 Failure!" message. Any idea why? BTW I

...stributions to get round the problem. The fix for PR#8251 is a kludge and just moves the inaccuracies to examples= =20 with higher non-centrality parameters. pt(x,1) will overflow or return 0 for values < -2e154 for 64-bit=20 implementations. pcauchy works but I believe the pt function is also suppos= ed to work for=20 non integral degrees of freedom so making it work one degree of freedom via= =20 pcauchy is hardly much use. qnbinom(1e-10,1e3,1e-7,TRUE,FALSE) is slow and by varying the parameters,= =20 qnbinom can be made very slow indeed. I do not think there is anything wron= g with=20 the...

bluetooth audio and asterisk
Has anyone successfully used a standard bluetooth enabled system to connect to a standard bluetooth enabled mobile phone (not the bluetooth to FXS converters) to create an audio path for phone calls with asterisk, if so is there a writeup on what was done so that others can replicate this. What I am thinking is that via alsa/oss/whatever you should be able to use the bluetooth audio channel as a

Win2k Roaming Profiles problems under NTFS
Hi there! I have a Samba 2.2.2 PDC on linux 2.4.13 with ACL (acl.bestbits.at) support installed. There seems to be a problem with Roaming Profiles. Win2k with local NTFS filesystem will never delete roaming profiles (yes, I have regedited the DeleteRoamingCache to 1). In fact, any time TheUser logs back in, a new folder named TheUser.OURDOMAIN.??? (where ? is an integer) will be created,

Modules Maintaining or Removing
Hallo all, I was trying to Build LLVM with the cmake option LLVM_ENABLE_MODULES just out of curiosity. I used the RELEASE_400/final tag. It didn't work as I almost expected. So I'm wondering if the modulemaps aren't maintained anymore? If they aren't maintained anymore, why aren't they removed and that cmake option also removed?
