Problem with read.shape in maptools
Hi,
I'd like to read a shapefile into a Map object. This is exactly what
read.shape{maptools} is suppoed to do, according to the documentation I
found in the link below.
However, this doesn't seem to work

package="maptools")[1])Error: could not find function "read.shape"

Using CentOS 3 in and LVS?
...ed the ARP problem (viz.,
the realservers should not respond to ARP requests for the hardware
address associated with the virtual IP). This is solved with some
sysctl stuff for kernel 2.2.x and for 2.4.26+, but of course CentOS 3
is 2.4.21.
There's a kernel module "noarp" that's suppoed to work for all 2.4.x
kernels but I can't get its configure to work properly. Does anyone
have any experience with this module? Is there an RPM somewhere?

cifs mount issue (cannot read files)
...e more a text file, nothing comes back, but the prompt.
In 3.0.10 (pre configured by Centos, not compiled by me) this is not a
problem.
Here are my 3.0.23a options during configure:
./configure --prefix /usr/local/samba-3.0.23a --with-smbmount --with-pam
--with-pam_smbpass --with-acl-support --disable-iprint --disable-cups
I noticed that cifs mount is enabled my default:
# ./configure --help| grep -i cifs
--with-cifsmount Include mount.cifs and umount.cifs (Linux
only) suppo
Any suggestions? Is there a fix in 3.0.25a?
Thanks,

bluetooth audio and asterisk
...this technology.
Cellsocket.com for example is a phone->FXS adapter, they are $100.
Someone this last week mentioned a bluetooth system that is similar, but
afaik both devices do not allow for SMS to be trafficed via asterisk,
and both cost more than a bluetooth dongle.
I know that linux does support bluetooth via qualcomms BT API, and I
would imagine that other systems also support this.
Thanks

Win2k Roaming Profiles problems under NTFS

I have a Samba 2.2.2 PDC on linux 2.4.13 with ACL (acl.bestbits.at) support

local NTFS filesystem will never delete roaming profiles (yes, I have
regedited the DeleteRoamingCache to 1). In fact, any time TheUser logs back
in, a new folder named TheUser.OURDOMAIN.??? (where ? is an integer) will

Modules Maintaining or Removing
Hallo all,
I was trying to Build LLVM with the cmake option LLVM_ENABLE_MODULES
just out of curiosity. I used the RELEASE_400/final tag.
It didn't work as I almost expected.
So I'm wondering if the modulemaps aren't maintained anymore?
If they aren't maintained anymore, why aren't they removed and that
cmake option also removed?
