R-project mailing lists (and SVN) - timeout Sunday 21 June
Dear R users, unfortunately, tomorrow Sunday will be a longish timeout of our mail services, notably affecting the R-<foo> and R-SIG-<bar> mailing lists @r-project.org , i.e., hosted by the Stats / Math Department of ETH, stat.math.ethz.ch. Note that also the svn.r-project.org will suffer from the timeout. This should be a "once in 8 years" event, hopefully, and we are

Planning of next challenges for Firefox
Fellow open video enthusiasts, Chris Blizzard just suggested that with all the Xiph developers attending the OpenVideoConference, we should all get together and discuss the next things to attack for Ogg Theora/Vorbis in Firefox. I think that's a great idea. Assuming that everyone stays for the hackfest on Sunday, we picked 10am on Sunday for a thorough discussion and planning session (1-2

XDC2016
Hi everybody, I saw that some more appeared on the list of Attendees, so it might be a good time to ask how we want to organize the stay and if we plan to book at the same place like we did on fosdem (well more or less). Also how does everybody plans to stay? I was thinking about Tuesday to Sunday, but if everybody comes at Monday already, I might change my plans ;) PS: if discussing that in

Safe way to destroy records
Hello, how can I check if a destroy was successful? Is the object only frozen if deleted or do I have to do an additional find to see if there is a record left? What happens if an after_destroy callback returns false? Is there always a rollback? Markus
