Reboot A DC, and check again if the dns records are there. If your already in the DNS-tool, dont forget to refresh the window after the server reboot. > I had to install dnsutils package on > Debian for the DNS updates to work properly. But stopping samba-ad-dc and removing the files for the /var/{lib,cache}/samba is suffient. I do that on every test server. Greetz, Louis > -----Oorspronkelijk bericht----- > Van: samba

On the Windows DC: DNS Manager: the two Samba DCs are not listed as nameservers for the domain AD Users and Computers: the two Samba DCs do neither appear in Domain Controllers nor under Computers They both appear in AD

Hello Louis, I followed your wiki. I got a lot of DNS errors after the installation because samba couldn't find nsupdate. Should probably be mentioned on this site? https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Distribution-specific_Package_Installation For Debian it is: dnsutils For Fedora/CentOS/RedHat:?bind-utils Alexander On 26. [FOR REVIEW ONLY] ESX work in progress
The following patches are where I'm currently at with ESX support. I can now import a domain from ESX along with its storage. Note that I'm not yet doing any conversion. In fact, I've never even tested past the import stage (I just had an exit in there). The meat is really in the 4th patch. The rename of MetadataReader->Connection was because the Connection is now really providing
