Ordered factors , was: surrogate poisson models
For ordered factor the natural contrast coding would be to parametrize by
the succsessive differences between levels, which does not assume equal
spacing
of factor levels as does the polynomial contrasts (implicitly at least).
This requires the contr.cum, which could be:

interesting problem
I have shorewall 1.3.12 installed on a redhat 8 fully patched machine with
three nicks. Eth0 has 10 IP''s bound to it and has been succsessfully routing
web traffic to servers on the dmz.
This morning I added another server to the DMZ, configured my network with
the correct IP, configured dnat in "rules" and restarted both. From a

Problems managing remote SAMBA printers from Windows
Hi All,
Hope someone can help. Have tried diligently all the "self-help"
avenues I can find, as well as asking for help on the user forums for my
distro.
Here's the situation.
Running SAMBA server on a libranet Linux 2.8.1 box (Debian based
distro). Have SAMBA 2.2.3a-12.3 for Debian installed and running.

Unix Extensions + ext3 quotas + df
Hi,
Some time ago, I reported an issue (1) regarding to the "disk free"
to Quotas mapping when Unix Extensions are enabled.
The issue still persists in RHEL 5.3 (samba-3.0.33-3.7.el5).
In the meanwhile I have found a workaround via the attached *ugly*
patch, but an official solution would be appreciated.
Best regards,
Juanjo
