[PATCH v2 0/2] virtio-net: default_mtu - new conf. field
This set of two patches adds a new field called default_mtu to the configuration area of network devices. The motivation is to allow libvirt to set initial MTU different from 1500 on guests virtual NICs. We also propose to use this new field to report MTU changes by the guest OS to the device to facilitate debugging and mtu tunning. The first patch just clarify the definition of existing fields

[PATCH v2 2/2] virtio-net: add default_mtu configuration field
Sometimes it is essential for libvirt to be able to configure MTU on guest's NICs to a value different from 1500. The change adds a new field to configuration area of network devices. It will be used to pass initial MTU from the device to the driver, and to pass modified MTU from driver to the device when a new MTU is assigned by the guest OS. In addition, in order to support backward and

All sounds good to me. I actually did try to follow the Python style when I used the ^^^ thingies for the questions (they're called subsubsections). 4. [RFC] virtio-iommu version 0.4
This is the continuation of my proposal for virtio-iommu, the para- virtualized IOMMU. Here is a summary of the changes since last time [1]: * The virtio-iommu document now resembles an actual specification. It is split into a formal description of the virtio device, and implementation notes. Please find sources and binaries at [2]. * Added a probe request to describe to the guest different

[RFC] virtio-iommu version 0.7
This is version 0.7 of the virtio-iommu specification. The diff from 0.6, included below, is fairly small and consists of the following changes: * Address comments from 0.6, rework bits of the implementation notes. * Change resv_mem parameters to be consistent with the rest of the spec. * Add the MMIO flag to MAP requests. At the moment it is used by mapped MSIs mostly for completeness, but

[RFC virtio 12/13] virtio-iommu: Add built-in topology description
Add a lightweight method to describe the IOMMU topology in the config space, guarded by a new feature bit. A list of capabilities in the config space describes the devices managed by the IOMMU and their endpoint IDs. [PATCH] virtio-spec: set mac address by a new vq command
From: Amos Kong <akong at redhat.com> Virtio-net driver currently programs MAC address byte by byte, this means that we have an intermediate step where mac is wrong. This patch introduced a new control command to set MAC address in one time, and added a new feature flag VIRTIO_NET_F_MAC_ADDR for this feature.
