SystemFit
Hi, I have two products which are substitudes. I try to fix a system as below to mydata. Demand1 = A1 -B1*Price1 + C1*Price2 Demand2 = A2 +B2*Price1 - C2*Price2 I would expect C1 & B2 to be symmetric, If they are truly substitude. How can I enforce this symmetry when creating a system of equations via SystemFit ? -- View this message...

littler: Use for batch processing of data sets: How to pass filename?
...cat("Usage: auswertung.r datafile \n") q() } filename <- as.character(argv[1]) d = data.frame(x=scan("/tmp/data")) write(sum(d$x), "/tmp/data.result", ncolumns=1) Could someone help me how I can substitude `/tmp/data` with the value stored in `filename`? I do not get it to work using `do.Call` or `paste()`. fitting log function: errors using nls and nlxb
...,data=FG2)) I get the following error: Error in nls((CO2 ~ log(a * Time) + b), start = start, data = FG2) : singular gradient In addition: Warning messages: 1: In min(x) : no non-missing arguments to min; returning Inf 2: In max(x) : no non-missing arguments to max; returning -Inf So then when I substituded nlxb for nls in the above two models, I got this error: Error in nlxb((CO2 ~ log(a * Time) + b), start = start, data = FG2) : NaN in Jacobian A few questions: 1.) How can I get R to fit my curve without returning errors? 2.) I am not sure that this data is log base 10. Is there a way I can a...

Postfix Dovecot LDAP setup
[EDIT]: Sorry about the second mail. ignore the first one - it had try & and error mistakes in. Problem is still the very same as explaned below. Thanks a lot. Hi, since days I'm trying to substitude my SQL based Postfix/Dovecot mail server by a LDAP based setup. Everything seems to go smooth so far - thanks to the many how to and Dovecot wiki. Unfortunately I'm struggeling, since I have to create individual a LDAP schema which suits the currently used LDAP structure. The current tructu...

...inted to:     http://cran.r-project.org/bin/linux/debian/ Installing packages with the method Denis just sketched is much more cumbersome as dependencies are not automatically resolved. Note that in the line     deb http://<favorite-cran-mirror>/bin/linux/debian lenny-cran/ you need to substitude <favorite-cran-mirror> by one of the mirror URLs listed in     http://cran.r-project.org/mirrors.html Kind regards, Johannes ######################################### Am Montag, 19. Using File when its source doesn't exist
Hi guys, I''m trying to use the Apache SSL class from the camptocamp apache module, The problem seems to be in the File type at the bottom https://github.com/camptocamp/puppet-apache/blob/master/manifests/vhost-ssl.pp Whilst source => "file://$csrfile" doesn''t exist at the time of running, an exec creates it before the file is supposed to be run as the require

SAMBA-LDAP and variable substition
Hello, Im using Samba and LDAP together and if I use the scriptPath attribute for a user defined in LDAP, it seems that variable substitions no longer work like they did when you're using the global logon script parameter in smb.conf. example: scriptPath = scripts\%m.bat ==> %m.bat is NOT substituted to machinename.bat Because the "logon scripts" directive of smb.conf will

You only need the lines 97 and 98 and substitude fqdn and realm like i mentioned above. It must be possible for Thunderbird to use plain authentification with your windows account username. Can be you must configure userdb and passdb to do ldap lookups against active directory. > Thanks, --Mark > > -----Original Message----- >>...
