Learning Rails - Advice for development environment
...ow. If I was using a standard VM with ubuntu or whatever, I would boot it up and do my work inside just as if it was the host OS. When it comes to Vagrant, I am a little more confused. Am I supposed to start my headless vagrant box, start all my services / rails server etc inside, but then have Sublime Text 2 on my host OS - and work out of the shared directory while just performing tests inside of the VM? I use Guard / Spork on my desktop - how do I set this up within Vagrant? I have read that some people have issues with it. Am I going to run into any problems down the line running window...

Seek brilliant Rails programmer to add one field to acts_as_taggable
...short background for those following this thread) when one wants to add tags to a model they call the ''tag_with'' method that jumps into acts_as_taggable.rb logic and attaches one or more tags to the controlling model. The part that kills me is that this procedure happens in such a sublime manner that I can''t see where or when the record is created or built? Thus I can''t find a place to build and apply a method that I would pass before the record is saved. I''ve attempted the before_create event callback but the controller is unable to pass a parameter to t...

Markdown editor for CentOS 7?
Hi, I recently discovered Markdown, and I'm currently using it to write some documentation for CentOS 7. https://github.com/kikinovak/formation-linux For the time being, I'm using my good old Vim editor for writing it. I turned off syntax highlighting, since this produces random results with Markdown. Pages are correctly displayed on Github, but in order to see them, I have to push
