OT - In which countries are ISDN subaddresses used ?
Hi,
I've seen this ISDN subaddress feature added to libpri.
Which countries are using it ?
How is this billed ? Do you have to pay an extra to your telco to benefit
from this subaddresses ?
Cheers

Subaddress Extension in sieve plugin
Hello!
With many MTAs it is possible to use a special form of adressing: subaddresses or "plussed
addresses". For sendmail you can read some information on
http://www.sendmail.org/m4/misc_features.html
http://www.unix.org.ua/orelly/networking/sendmail/ch24_04.htm#SML2-CH-24-SECT-4-3
In a sieve filter you can analyse these special detail values, the syntax is described in...

Sieve subaddress matching
Hello Stephan,
Maybe this is not an issue at all and nothing but a curiosity; maybe
though you do care:
When there is only a local part in "To", the "subaddress" extension does
not match on the "detail" part.
This happened when I made a device on the LAN send to "name+foo", where
"name" is a system account on the computer used as smtp.

LMTP and Sieve with <prefix><recipient_delimiter><user>
Hi there,
Dovecot's LMTP implementation and Pigeonhole Sieve already do support
the <user><delimiter><suffix> format. RfC 5233, the Sieve subaddress
extension, also offers <prefix><delimiter><user>.
Could Docecot's LMTP and Pigeonhole be extended to that effect?
Thanks & greetings,
Paul

Problem with sieve after upgrade to 2.0
Hi,
I've just upgraded from 1.2 to 2.0.12 via debian sid packages. I think I've
moved all my config over to the new directory-based structure and most things
are working, but the subaddress extension in sieve doesn't seem to do anything
anymore. It doesn't report an error, but any rules which use it are just
ignored. Other sieve rules which don't use subaddress seem to

Hello,
first of all, please reply private as I am not subscribed to the list.
But if this question takes to much traffic I can subscribe.
My problem is that I have to use procmail (as it can call external
programs) which finally calls deliver. My main rules are sieve and they

Issues with Plus addressing and detail part of subaddress.
Hi all,
So, it's been a while. I'm just ramping back up with Dovecot after a hiatus of a few years.
I've been using it fine, complete with Sieve, for about a year, with little or no issues.
I finally got around to setting up a second account, to start figuring out how I want to do some plus address filtering.
In a nutshell, I want to put mail for foo+bar in foo's 'bar'

Struggling with sieve, fileinto and variables.
Hi,
Im on Manjaro linux fully up to date running
dovecot 2.3.1-2
pigeonhole 0.5.1-2
All is running well except I am having problems with fileinto - it refuses to use variables, and mailboxexists is also failing for me.
Im just dealing with plus addressing - should be simple but the behaviour Im experiencing isnt right.

lmtp_save_to_detail_mailbox override
Hi,
I have a dovecot 2.3.2.1 instance running here that is getting userdb and
passdb data from a SQL database. This was a cyrus server migrated over and
all users are happy.
All users except one: Said user asked if it would be possible to disable
subaddressing (localuser+folder at example.com) again.
The setting controlling that is AFAIK the lmtp_save_to_detail_mailbox
item.
My idea was to

LMTP and Sieve with <prefix><recipient_delimiter><user>
Hi,
way forward could be like this:
1) Introduce a new config option 'detail_affix' with parameters 'prefix'
and 'suffix', defaulting to 'suffix' making sure not to break existing
setups using <user><delimiter><suffix> respectively
:user<delimiter>:detail format.
If 'detail_affix' is switched to 'prefix' the expected

ISDN Sub-Address
Hello, I have 2 Fritz!Pci cards installed on my system, and I use chan_capi.
Recently I tried to work a little bit with sub addressing, and after
searching the internet I did not find anything.
Can anyone tell me if subaddress is in the called-party field just like the
MSN? Or is it passed somewhere else and I cannot receive it.
Although I was informed by my TELCO that this feature is enabled

Struggling with sieve, fileinto and variables.
Thanks for that. Turns out it was an issue with exim stripping the local part suffix from the envelope before passing over lmtp to dovecot. Fixed in the exim router config!
Although if you turn on trace with spamtest it does result in a crash during mail receipt:

Hello,
First of all, happy new year!
I?ve recently configured my mail server and was using a simple sieve rule in order to store all my ?user+pattern at example.com? ingoing email to be stored in the INBOX/pattern folder.
This setup worked very well. I restarted my server this morning (don?t know if it?s related?) and since Dovecot keep storing my emails in INBOX with following errors:

Prevent dovecot.sieve.log logs

Is there a way to prevent this?
