OT - In which countries are ISDN subaddresses used ?
Hi,
I've seen this ISDN subaddress feature added to libpri.
Which countries are using it ?
How is this billed ? Do you have to pay an extra to your telco to benefit
from this subaddresses ?
Cheers

Subaddress Extension in sieve plugin
Hello!
With many MTAs it is possible to use a special form of adressing: subaddresses or "plussed
addresses". For sendmail you can read some information on
http://www.sendmail.org/m4/misc_features.html
http://www.unix.org.ua/orelly/networking/sendmail/ch24_04.htm#SML2-CH-24-SECT-4-3
In a sieve filter you can analyse these special detail values, the syntax is described...

Sieve subaddress matching
Hello Stephan,
Maybe this is not an issue at all and nothing but a curiosity; maybe
though you do care:
When there is only a local part in "To", the "subaddress" extension does
not match on the "detail" part.
This happened when I made a device on the LAN send to "name+foo", where
"name" is a system account on the computer used as smtp.
Such mail gets filed into INBOX. Matching the whole address against
"name+foo...

LMTP and Sieve with <prefix><recipient_delimiter><user>
Hi there,
Dovecot's LMTP implementation and Pigeonhole Sieve already do support
the <user><delimiter><suffix> format. RfC 5233, the Sieve subaddress
extension, also offers <prefix><delimiter><user>.
Could Docecot's LMTP and Pigeonhole be extended to that effect?
Thanks & greetings,
Paul

Problem with sieve after upgrade to 2.0
Hi,
I've just upgraded from 1.2 to 2.0.12 via debian sid packages. I think I've
moved all my config over to the new directory-based structure and most things
are working, but the subaddress extension in sieve doesn't seem to do anything
anymore. It doesn't report an error, but any rules which use it are just
ignored. Other sieve rules which don't use subaddress seem to work ok.
Here's my config:
# 2.0.12: /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf
# OS: Linux 2.6.38-2-amd64 x86_6...

procmail deliver and envelope-to
...of all, please reply private as I am not subscribed to the list.
But if this question takes to much traffic I can subscribe.
My problem is that I have to use procmail (as it can call external
programs) which finally calls deliver. My main rules are sieve and they
work find except that I cannot use subaddress matching in envelope to
(not envelope send which has been addressed earlier). But As I use the
'+'-Feature the envelope to will be the one interesting for me.
For example, I am subscribed to the mailing list gimp-devel with
klaus+gdev at ethgen.de. So I want to use:

Issues with Plus addressing and detail part of subaddress.
...finally got around to setting up a second account, to start figuring out how I want to do some plus address filtering.
In a nutshell, I want to put mail for foo+bar in foo's 'bar' folder. That's in the wiki.
I did this:
require ["fileinto", "envelope", "subaddress"];
if header :contains "subject" ["test"] {
fileinto "Test";
}
if envelope :detail "to" "test" {
fileinto "test";
stop;
}
So, this fails miserably. No error message, nothing in the logs, no nothing. Yet, when I run

...xcept I am having problems with fileinto - it refuses to use variables, and mailboxexists is also failing for me.
Im just dealing with plus addressing - should be simple but the behaviour Im experiencing isnt right.
require ["variables", "envelope", "fileinto", "subaddress", "mailbox"];
if envelope :matches :detail "to" "*" {
set :lower "name" "${1}";
}
fileinto :create "folder3";
This works, but changing the last line to:
fileinto :create "${name}";
fails and files into inbox. As does:...

[Sieve] Multiple email recipients, how?
...fferent users not at
the MTA level, but at at the user level using sieve. That seems very
inefficient to me.
There are nice tricks you can do with virtual alias maps and pcre within
postfix to split email to specific user accounts, which could also
accommodate other alias schemes than standard subaddressing (such as yours).
Kind regards,
Tom

lmtp_save_to_detail_mailbox override
Hi,
I have a dovecot 2.3.2.1 instance running here that is getting userdb and
passdb data from a SQL database. This was a cyrus server migrated over and
all users are happy.
All users except one: Said user asked if it would be possible to disable
subaddressing (localuser+folder at example.com) again.
The setting controlling that is AFAIK the lmtp_save_to_detail_mailbox
item.
My idea was to override that setting for the specific user. I changed the
user_query to return no for the user in question and all seems well:
# doveadm user test

2) Add documentation to the Wiki https://wiki2.dovecot.org/LMTP:

3) Add description to the relevant default config files?:
# The separator that is expected between the :user and :detail

# also be a sequence of characters (e.g. '--'). The current
# implementation looks for the separator from the left of the

ISDN Sub-Address
Hello, I have 2 Fritz!Pci cards installed on my system, and I use chan_capi.
Recently I tried to work a little bit with sub addressing, and after
searching the internet I did not find anything.
Can anyone tell me if subaddress is in the called-party field just like the
MSN? Or is it passed somewhere else and I cannot receive it.
Although I was informed by my TELCO that this feature is enabled on my line
I still cant make it work.
Thank you.
