Hmmm, you obviously know a lot more about systemd than I do, I'm going to have to look at what you posted more carefully. Thanks. ----- Original Message ----- From: "James Hogarth" <james.hogarth at gmail.com> To: "CentOS mailing list" <centos at centos.org> Sent: Wednesday, December 23, 2015 4:08:31 AM Subject: Re: [CentOS] Starting stunnel on boot with

Dear all, I had notice that my logwatch has a heap of stunneling like the one below. Starting stunnel on boot with CentOS7
The stunnel package doesn't come with an init script and systemctl doesn't list it as a service I recognize, I guess I could put it in /etc/rd.d/rc.local or create a script in /etc/rc.d/init.d but thought I'd ask before creating my own solution. Hi all Does anyone have a config file for stunnel, to work with /etc/xinetd.d? Stunnel's man page does mention it can work with xinetd, but there's no sample configuration for it. -- Kind Regards Rudi Ahlers

mongrel_in_a_tunnel
Hi list: I started to make a quick GemPlugin command [ssl::start] that sets up an stunnel before calling the normal [start] command. so $ mongrel_rails ssl:start will do everything that start normally does and configure/setup an stunnel. The question... Obviously this plugin will require stunnel to be installed. What do you think is the best move: 1) nothing, just require that people

Is there a good nntp client for Centos 6 that handles SSL native?
Is there a good nntp client for Centos 6 that handles SSL native? It was difficult, to say the least, on Centos anyway, to get Pan to post to Mixmin servers, which require SSL (so we have to use Stunnel to add SSL capabilities to Pan) on Centos. Had Pan native SSL support, this wouldn't have been a problem. Hence the question: Q: Is there a good freeware NNTP client with a Centos

Changing the imaps port #
Dovecot 2.3.4, FreeBSD 11.2 Due to comcast buisness ISP intercepting imaps I need to have my clients connect to non-standard port (9999). Previously I had been using stunnel to receive the imaps connection and forward it to the imap port over 127.0.0.1. But I would like to retire stunnel and have my imap clients connect remotely. I have configured the imap-login service - service imap-login {

Changing the imaps port #
Yes, I am pretty sure about that. I originally was connected via AT&T DSL but wanted the fast access of cable modem. I need permanent IPs which required me to contract with Comcast buisness. Once I switched over, I was no longer able to access my imap server, which was as I mentioned, stunnel listening on the imaps port and forwarding to dovecot listening on the imap port. I was getting

icecast with stunnel
Hello I've been using icecast/ices 1.3.11 at home for sometime now, and it works pretty well. Thanks to everyone who has worked on it. Occasionally, icecast will go up to 100% CPU for some reason, but if I restart it this goes away. Ices also has served me well. It dies on occasion too, but I think it's likely due to my custom ices.pm module, since it was much more stable before I

Stunnel and postgres?
Does anyone have some docs on setting up postgres and stunnel? I have stunnel 4.04 and postgresql-8.x running on a db server and want a tomcat app server to connect to it using an encrypted connection. All of the examples I've found seem to be for an older version of stunnel. TIA Mike

Prefs for rsync of ssh or stunnel?
We're looking at using rsync over an encrypted link, and are debating the virtues of ssh vs stunnel. I know rsync can hammer a network-layer implementation, so have others done this, and if so, which is better - rsync over ssh or rsync over stunnel? I leaning towards stunnel as it's just a "pure" SSL transport layer with nothing else to worry about, whereas sshd implies
