IP Tunneling
Hello
I have /25 addressed on a box (virtual devices on eth0) and I want to
tunnel some of these addresses to my home network. One address to my
gateway (a.b.c.d, external IP) and one address to my internal network
(192.168.0.0/24-style). I will use the tunnels for irc, smtp and surfing.
What protocol and which technique is easiest and best to use?
One more thing. I don''t want to set up

File exists?
Hello,
I''m trying to put 3 nodes in a vpn in tunnel mode.
When I run setkey on the following file, I end up with
The result of line 33: File exists.
That error isn''t overly helpful, so I was hoping that someone could explain
the issue.
Here''s the file, with line 33 highlighted.
Help appreciated.

First of all, this is my first post in this ML, so I''m not sure that this
is the right place for my question (please don''t shoot me down ;)). For
the record, I''ve been reading and using LARTC for almost 3 years now, and
it''s a great help for anyone who wants to learn linux networking.

SwitchTower deployment
I''ve been trying to configure SwitchTower to perform deployment of my app to
a Dreamhost server. I can run rake remote_exec ACTION=setup just fine but
rake deploy keeps giving me errors when its checking out the latest revision
from the Subversion repository on the same Dreamhost server. It displays
errors like this:

TCP connection forwarding troubles
For some time I have routinely websurfed across a forwarded TCP

how to check whether the ssh tunnel is up
Hi all,
I use the command below to set up a ssh tunnel. And I run it as a daemon
process to keep the ssh tunnel work all the time. And I should wait for the
ssh tunnel to be up and notify the tunnel is OK before sending any command
to the remote port on the remote server. But the question is I don't know
how to check the ssh tunnel status. Is there a way to show whether the ssh
tunnel is up?

problem with nth patch, counter parameter...I think
Hi all, I need some guidance to get my problem fixed. I believe there
is an issue with the ''nth'' patch from the patch-o-matic, which is
labeled as status ''works''.
I have tunnels back and forth across the internet, using ''nth'' to
balance packets between different public networks (over the tunnels).
I need to access some networks over two

IPIP Tunnel
Hi guys,
I''m trying to setup an IPIP tunnel between a Cisco router and a firewall
running Debian GNU/Linux Sarge with Shorewall 2.0.13.
I''ve read and implemented the http://shorewall.net/IPIP.htm document,
but I don''t understand why there should be at the same time a "tunnel"
and a "tunnels" script.
Shorewall still refuses to let the

Tunnel freezing
Hi!
I hope this list a good place for my question - I've googled for it first,
but I didn't find any answers.
I'm trying to use the new ssh IP tunnel feature to get a secure access to
my machine at work, which is behind a firewall/NAT but it has a ssh port
in outbound direction open.
The problem is that the tunnel freezes occasionally, mostly in one direction
only. The freeze
