replacing NA's with various numbers
Hi
I have two vectors in the same style as
x<-c(NA,NA,1,3,4,NA,1)
y<-c(0,0,NA,NA,NA,0,NA)
that is when x[ i ] = NA, y[ i ]=numeric. I wish to replace the NA's in x by the corresponding y value. Any help would be much appreciated.

I have samba working with NIS. I use (depending on the host) either a
local smbpasswd or secrity=server authentication for the encrypted
passwords.

The above-mentioned phenomenon will become possible
if NIS+ is canceled. (It has not tried on NIS)
Is samba domain controller set up in NIS+ environment,
and is there any example which is using W2K?

Is there a guide?
Is there a quick guide to setting up an icecast2 server?
Specifically I want something I can muck around with to test it out and put
into use later. I'd like to set up a basic icecast2 streaming server
streaming ogg streams, and either play from a play list, or preferably from
dsp so I can record microphone and whatever other sounds I am playing etc.
Anyway, I attempted this a while ago, I

Yes I was aware darkice *can* do it, I just need a guide to setting it all up.
My efforts so far have failed. I thought rather than just reporting the
latest problem, I'd get a guide on how to do it, to avoid making a whole
bunch of errors that will need to be solved seperately.

Is there a guide?
I noticed another post where it was mentioned which modules were needed etc,
then followed the instructions at xiph.org for CVS. It's working now,
although darkice (which is none of xiph's concern AFAIK) seg-faults.....
I haven't been able to test ices2 in live mode, well, it seems to work, but I
get silence.... ices2 in playlist mode only plays OGG files right? So to play

I got legitimate silence since I had no input in the line in or mic in :-)
I've tested it now and I get real sound!!! (although I did experience some
feedback problems playing xmms into ices, then playing back at the same time
with ogg123.....)
<p>I think I'll write a breif guide for icecast2/ices2 :-)

ices bitrate encoding mode?
I have got ices running with quality -1 (and on my roommates crappy computer
speakers it sounds damn near the real thing - better than FM radio anyway)...
I'm just wondering if it's posible to configure it with a maximum bitrate, or
a nominal bitrate. i.e. to use managed bitrates instead of quality (I know
it's a no no, but this is streaming!).
