Now, I think that *sending* the stream is now squared away, but I think one problem remains on the receiving end of things. I use the perl streamcast utility to stream my playlists, and tracks sound great. But sometimes when the tracks change, the new track will get regular half-a-second audible gaps - no studdering or repeats - just gaps. Sometimes it'll persist through the next track... sometimes it clears up when the next track starts....

...some way of intergrating it with a web request system, and having the ability to play a station ID file every 5 songs etc. We are currently using icedj, but this is shout based and a bit on the unstable side, and the scripts I have seen for ices so far don't have nearly as much functionality, streamcast etc which use libshout, while having the web request system and a neet telnet interface don't allow us to have timed programs etc. Has anyone written software with this functionality in it already, or in the process of developing something like this? with libshout it wouldn't be difficu...

Hi Again I never worked out why I was getting that "You can run" error, but I set streamcast to reencode everything (previously it was playing songs at whatever bitrate they came at) and it's played for a day and a half now without an error.
