Cannot grasp how to apply "by" here...
...length of 'dimnames' [1] not equal to array extent"
I used browser() and I see that the Name is not assigned to the row
name of vector and then dim(x)[1] does not work.
What am I doing wrong? Do not understand. :-(
Thank you in advance for your help.

LLVM social in Sweden?
Hey,
Anyone interested in organizing a meetup in Sweden? I'm based in
Stockholm, but I don't mind traveling around on a weekend if people
prefer to gather elsewhere.

Polynomial fitting
...one in R can fit a 3rd degree polynomial to some data?
Say the data is:
y <- c(15.51, 12.44, 31.5, 21.5, 17.89, 27.09, 15.02, 13.43, 18.18, 11.32)
x <- seq(3.75, 6, 0.25)
And resulting degrees of polynomial are:
5.8007 -91.6339 472.1726 -774.2584
THanks in advance!

Spare matrix multiplication
...thousands of times. I also tried to partition A
into 100 small blocks and use mapply function to multiply by each B_i, but
that is even slower.
I am wondering if there is an efficient way to perform this type of
multiplication with R?
Thanks in advance!

CELT 0.6.0 released, submitted as IETF draft
...ttp://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-valin-celt-codec-00.txt
For those who aren't aware of it, there is an ongoing discussion about
creating an IETF working group for standardising unencumbered audio
codecs that everyone can use. There will be a BoF at the next IETF
meeting (26-31 July) in Stockholm to discuss that. I encourage those
interested in taking part in the mailing list discussion (
https://www.ietf.org/mailman/listinfo/codec ) and/or attending the BoF
in Stockholm. I will be co-chairing this BoF with Jason Fischl from Skype.
Cheers,

Why rm(list<-ls()) gives an error but rm(list=ls()) not?. I remember the
