Hi
Hi I have a simple question. I want to run a "n times" a simple linear
regession and save beta in a matrix but I´m not able.
Imagine:
Data.txt is a 10*5 file and want to run 4 different stimations always
regressing first column on the rest.
So I try this:
First I run Data on memory
This is my function
mrp <- function(){
mr<-matrix(0,4,1)
for(i in 1:4)

max asterisk load
Hi,
We're evaluating asterisk, somebody has measured maximum asterisk load
(simultaneus calls, calls per seconds...)? Are there any stimation?
Thx. Best regards.

Likelihood ratio
Hi All
I have to run multiple stimations and to compute Likelihhod ratio.
If I compute ls function with coef and summary I can extract "outputs" that
I need.
I am not able to find something similar to log liklihood....
Can you pease tell me running a ls function x on y how to extract if
posible LR statitic or Likelihood or Log likelihood.
Many thanks in advance. If you send me

Error t value matrix
Hi all,
I want to make the following:
I want to run a linear regression on each column of a matrix "estima" on
the correspondent column on the matrix "estima2".
You see I want to regress estima[,1] on estima2[,1] this way to all
columns....
At the same time I want to make a regression adding each time a new
observation.
You see, the first regression will regress only one

bug in glm()? (PR#3223)
Full_Name: Bonnie
Version: 1.6.1
OS: Windows
Submission from: (NULL) (160.129.25.106)
glm() seems to converge, even when it shouldn't. I am trying to fit a model
where $converge=FALSE and I am fitting models that do not converge in SAS,
but they seem to converge in R ...
Thank you.

[LLVMdev] Is there room for another build system?
...onfigure' and generate gmake makefiles,
project files for XCode, etc.
In just an afternoon I hacked CMake specifications for the LLVM
libraries and successfully built the fibonacci example. Most of the time
consisted on just waiting for the build to complete on each
experimentation cycle, so I stimate that was less that 2 hours of real
activity. This without previous knowledge of CMake (nor of the VC++
build). So my impression is quite favorable.
CMake just requires one plain text file named CMakeLists.txt on every
source directory, and the only maintenance is to keep up to date the

[nlme] BLUPs for a new subject in a fitted lme model?
I am seeking for a method to calculate, given a fitted lme model
and some data for a subject, the random effects predictors
for this subject. I can only find predictors for the subjects used in
creating the fit. Of course I could just add the subject and redo the fit.
But I want to avoid just this refitting.
Thanks for help

[LLVMdev] Is there room for another build system?
...because support for new compilers/tools comes with new releases of boost.build and need not be added manually by llvm developers/users.
Since you're working on a competing build system, I'm no longer sure I want to spend time developing my build system. It would help to know what are your estimates for the availability timeframe of your build system.
Thanks,
Dmitri

What does LOESS stand for?
Dear R-community,
maybe someone can help me with this:
I've been using the loess() smoother for quite a while now, and for
the matter of documentation I'd like to resolve the acronym LOESS.
Unfortunately there's no explanation in the help file, and I didn't
get anything convincing from google either.
I know that the predecessor LOWESS stands for "Locally Weighted

At first, SCons is what I intended too. But then I read about the KDE
experience and took the safe route :-)
