voicemail.conf overwritten
I'm trying to set up a base * configuration in a version control system. I have nearly all the system-specific configuration pulled out into a subdirectory so that /etc/asterisk is very generic and I can copy it into another system when I create it. The only stickler is voicemail.conf. Includes within voicemail.conf will work, but when a user changes their password, * cannot put the change

Stable version
Hello all, I'm a bit of a lurker on this list, so don't mind me. It appears that klibc-1.1.1 fails when 'cp-to-kernel'ed, using linux-2.6.15. Is it possible to produce another 'Stable' version? Call me a stickler, but I just don't like using something of this grade when marked 'Testing' or 'Unstable' by the developers themselves. Thanks, Aaron

Sort model based on max value of has_many field
Hi, I have models such as: class Team < ActiveRecord::Base has_many :games end class Game< ActiveRecord::Base belongs_to :team end So there are many (well, 0 to 6) games for each team. Team game has a "score". I would like to get a list of the teams, sorted by the highest scoring game - sort of a ranking based on highest score. I''ve tried several cominations of

Synchronous dialplan execution for feedback while processing speech recognition and voice synth, for example.
I've got an agi that recognises speech (via Google) and another that turns text into speech (tts) (via Microsoft Translate). Both are web APIs, both called via seperate python AGIs. I've googled and I'm probably missing something pretty newbie 101 here, but is there any way, or fiddle, that I can play some audio to let the caller know that their weather forecast is being fetched,

[LLVMdev] Comparison mismatch causes assert using VStudio STL
Hola LLVMers, We saw a problem with some code in LiveIntervalAnalysis.h/.c which we've fixed locally. We'd like to get a patch to the mainline and want to know how you'd like it fixed. A couple of things come together to cause the problem: struct Idx2MBBCompare { bool operator()(const IdxMBBPair &LHS, const IdxMBBPair &RHS) const { return LHS.first <

gnophone experts!
Are there any self described or otherwise gnophone experts out there? Maybe I'm a stickler for pain but I'm having a lot of gnophone problems and conventional wisdom tells me that they should be able to be figured out. However, after reading all the documentation, reviewing the files, I am left feeling that I am no closer to the answers than when I first began. So if anyone out there

svn access and formal things.
A couple of questions: * Do I need a named account to commit changes? How do I get such an account? I'm used to commit roughly once every 8 hours of work if I have a stable point that compiles on linux and win32. That's just my way of working. Worked well in the past to protect myself from doing stupid things. * How anal are you about line endings, tabs vs. spaces, max. line length

Markdown, SmartyPants and Wordpress?
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I'm redesigning my site and considering moving from Movable Type to WP, but many of my entries are in Markdown. I really, really like Markdown and SmartyPants. I've not used Textile much, but Markdown feels more natural to me; also, I love SmartyPants because I'm a stickler for curly quotes. I understand there's a Markdown

Idiom question - assertions which aren''t in tests
All, Although I''ve been keeping an eye on Ruby for several years now, I don''t have a huge amount of experience with it. So please forgive me if I''m missing something obvious. I''m in the process of writing my first really "serious" Rails app and would appreciate your advice. I am wondering if there is a standard idiom for including assertions in

Questions about mail process chroots
.../Linux system and a mix of users with shell accounts and users with disabled logins. Both these groups should be handled the same way by Dovecot: auth_userdb is passwd and auth_passdb is pam. The dovecot PAM service will use pam_mysql.so, if that matters. Mail is in mbox format (we have too many sticklers who are set in their ways, unfortunately); I'm thinking default_mail_env should be mbox:~/Mail/:INBOX=/var/mail/%u. So, if I understand correctly, (a) I should set chroots on the mail processes, since some of our users don't have real shell accounts, and (b) those processes will need acces...

Hypothetical question - for the devs...
Hello everybody. I know this is user forum - but I also know that developers "lurks" in here from time to time. So I would like to ask... what do you (developers) think is the biggest issue in wine development? Is it money? How much would wine development process speed up if Codewavers would start selling... let say, 10 times more licenses for Crossover then they sell now? Would it be a

Tag Proposal -> Tag Standard
...gg Standard" which is published to their web site. Immediately they become a large, influential force in the Ogg Vorbis community. Again, lacking good documentation to reference, P2P developers latch on to MusicMatch's standard as *the* way to tag oggs. :P 6) Developers, being the sticklers that they are, will probably not be comfortable with the Standard. Discerning developers, anyway, who recognize the short-comings of the id3 system. They will want something concrete on which to build code. Not an obscure, idealistic dream. :) 7) The existing Standard, even to the hard-core...

UPS compatibility list
So where does this leave things regards Eaton and shut down? Has anyone managed graceful shut down from an Eaton unit with either of the ushhid or bcmxcp drivers? Perhaps I should be coming at this from the other end of the stick. What manufactures have the best support in NUT that I can look at and be confident I'm likely to have a successful deployment? Really the only deal breaker

Can R (without GUI) be compiled with static linking?
I have a potential client that is considering R for data analysis and visualization modules within a larger framework. The host systems run either Solaris or a version of Linux. One of their requirements (hard or soft?) is that each module in the framework be compiled with statically linked libraries into a standalone binary that can be run from the command line. I intend to recommend using R
