Xen Book
Hi, I had read on this thread - http://lists.xensource.com/archives/html/xen-users/2006-03/msg00759.html - (which is about a year old) about a Xen book being written. Any updates or others currently writing books on Xen? Thank you. -- Mathew Brown mathewbrown@fastmail.fm -- http://www.fastmail.fm - Same, same, but different… _______________________________________________

[LLVMdev] llvm backend tutorial
...iption, every occurrence of new keyword or concept would confuse a beginner reader. They need to find enough information to follow this tutorial. This tutorial seems to tell that you have to write these 10 files, completely, without error, to continue to the next step. And this -- how to start from starch, at least for me, is the most frustrating thing If this is meant for beginners, I would say that a brief description or a link to these new concepts would be helpful. Book on R programming
Most books on R I come across describe running statistical procedures in R. Any suggestions on a good book that teaches *programming* in R? Choice of text for intermediate level R programming course
The Subject line mostly says it. I'm designing it as a semester-long, 3 hours per week, course that takes in students who got the basics of R in stats classes, but don't really know how to program in it. Translation: if their own examples don't look enough like examples from previous work, they're stumped. Does anybody have a text for an intermediate R course (but not too

From NUM to INT
Can you explain why you need them as 'integer', A floating point representation can hold a value upto ~4.5e15 as an "integer" keeping the precision that you might need. [LLVMdev] llvm backend tutorial
I was wondering if this shouldn't somehow find its way into the official LLVM documentation? It certainly seems to qualify to become official documentation in my eyes. Nearly any LLVM backend writer out there should be able to benefit from reading about your experiences, I'd think. I know it is not as generic and abstract as what the LLVM dev list seems to prefer, but I personally find

dom0 unable to launch domU
Hi, I have a problem with a dom0 which is unable to launch my domU : all my dom0 are Debian Lenny amd64 with Debian kernel 2.6.26-2-xen-amd64 and xen-hypervisor-3.2-1-amd64. Then all domU (PV) are Debian Lenny amd64 too, with vanilla kernel 2.6.29.6. So, this new dom0 can''t launch any domU which are working on an other dom0. Software is same on both dom0, and hardware is near the

Web as follows, http://jonathan2251.github.com/lbd/index.html It include 10,000 lines of sources code for 1. Step by step, create an llvm backend for the Cpu0 which beginning from a CPU design for school teaching purpose in system programming. 2. ELF linker for Cpu0 which extended

Sendmail vs. Postfix
Hah!!! This list is just too calm and mundane. The only thing we argue about is the ''announce'' list vs. the ''user'' list. ;) So, it''s springtime! I''m seeing all the regularly scheduled ''oil'' threads on my motorcycle lists and thought "oh what the heck, lets get the ''oil'' thread going over on the CentOS

From NUM to INT
Dear all: I converted the columns (Baci, Meti, Fungii, Protozoai) into integers (using excel) and then imported the data (.txt) into R. Interestingly, the other three variables were loaded as INT, but the 'Baci' one continued as Num. I imported the data using the following command line: X <- read.delim(file.choose(), header = TRUE, dec =
