Debootstrapping a rootfs for Xen on FastModels A15
....
For a Dom0 kernel I''m using the latest version from
git://github.com/torvalds/linux.git, I attached my config as it might
be of some use for others. I''m using the latest Xen unstable branch
git://xenbits.xen.org/xen.git and my device tree comes from:
git://xenbits.xen.org/people/sstabellini/device-trees.git .
These are my xen and kernel arguments:
bootargs = "dom0_mem=128M dom0_max_vcpus=1 console=com1,vga";
xen,dom0-bootargs = "earlyprintk=xenboot console=ttyAMA0
root=/dev/mmcblk0 init=/bin/bash rw ip=dhcp";

...my information from the wiki pages at
http://wiki.xen.org/wiki/Xen_ARMv7_with_Virtualization_Extensions#Building_Xen_on_ARM

I was hoping someone could help getting the latest xen working with the
latest kernel.
First of all I tried the most logic setup.
Device Tree: git://xenbits.xen.org/people/sstabellini/device-trees.git
Dom0 Kernel: git://github.com/torvalds/linux.git ( latest )
Xen: git://xenbits.xen.org/xen.git
I''m having the same results with the xen-arm-3.8.y branch of git://

The wiki states that this should work. All the necesar...

Balloon driver for Linux/HVM
Hi,
I have noticed that, in the code of linux/drivers/xen/balloon.c, there exists the snippet as this:
static int __init balloon_init(void)
{
unsigned long pfn;
struct page *page;
if (!xen_pv_domain())
return -ENODEV;
.....
}
Does it means the driver will not work in HVM? If so, where is the HVN-enabled code for that?

[PATCH v1 0/5] mm/memory_hotplug: selective merging of system ram resources
This is the follow-up of "[PATCH RFCv1 0/5] mm/memory_hotplug: selective
merging of memory resources" [1]
Some add_memory*() users add memory in small, contiguous memory blocks.
Examples include virtio-mem, hyper-v balloon, and the XEN balloon.
This can quickly result in a lot of memory resources, whereby the actual
resource boundaries are not of interest (e.g., it might be relevant
