Sirrix PC140 Quad card
...the first time. Managed to build the drivers and get * to load them on FC4, but it does not work. It seems that layer1 in the ISDN is not even activated. The same ISDN lines connected to a Samsung DCS works so it is not the lines. I am including my sirrix.conf and the output of some of the * Srx commands below. Any pointers would be appreciated. forcing linux kernel 3 to recognize cdrom as hdX
Hello, I have a problem with older version of anaconda linux installer. I have upgraded kernel in my distro, but, when this anaconda boot with new 3.4.52 kernel, can NOT find cdrom. As far as I understand, this is because the new kernel recognize cd drive as srX, scdX instead of older hdX with 2.6.18. At the moment I can not upgrade anaconda and forced this kernel to recognize it as before. Are there any kernel command line argument, kernel config or something else for kernel 3.4.52 to recognize this cdrom as hdX? Best Regards, -- Oguz YILMAZ

Monitoring Sirrix quad BRI channels
Hi all, How are things going ? Is there a way for me to individually identify each BRI channel on the Sirrix quad BRI board. The reason I ask is because our client uses the "Asterisk Flash Operator Panel" to monitor its external lines and transfer calls from the lines to the various SIP phones. The "Flash Operator Panel" requires that we set a static value for each line or

Nobody seems to use txfax or does nobody have any problems with it? I have sent mails to most lists and get no reply. I cannot get a fax to go through with txfax. Panasonic PBX -to- Sirrix BRI: Numbers getting echoed/duplicated
Hi guys, How's things going ? Got a bit of a weird one here that I've been unable to solve. I have a Panasonic PBX linked to a Sirrix Quad BRI card that is running in TE (ptp) mode in a Asterisk box - this then links through Internet to another Asterisk box via IAX2. When a user on the Panasonic PBX system dials the extension of my Sirrix Asterisk box, Asterisk answers and says

what is best for scripting?
I am using R in Windows. I see that I will have to use batch processes with R. I will have to read and write text files, and run some R code; probably some external code too. I have never done scripting. Is there any document that explains simple steps with examples? I also have heard that Python is a good scripting language. Is it worth the effort? (I do not have too much free time, so if I could

testing the contents of an environment
Suppose I want to delete everything in my working directory that is not a function. It seems that sapply(ls(),is.function) always returns FALSE, because ls() returns objects of mode character. How do I evaluate is.function(), not on a character string, but on the object that character string represents? Thanks, Tim

WxRuby newbie Mac OS 10.4 install questions
Hi. Forgive me if I am asking questions that have already been answered a million times, but there doesn''t seem to be an easy way to search the wxruby-users archives, so... I tried to install wxruby for the Mac by downloading the latest Mac package installer from rubyforge.org/frs/download.php/1985/wxruby-0.6.0-osx-panther.dmg and tried to run some of the wxruby-0.6.0/samples from the

Expresscard Wireless
I bought a laptop with no PCMCIA slot, just expresscard. Instead of using a usb dongle for wireless, I would like to use an expresscard if possible. Ubiquiti makes one that uses atheros chip. Has anyone successfully used an expresscard wifi card in FreeBSD? Any info? Thanks

Squid and HTTPS interception on CentOS 7 ?
...t. The library is required by law to provide web filtering, mainly because we have public-use computers which are used by children. For http this is easy. Https is, as this discussion reveals, a different animal. We started to set up a filter which would run directly on our router (Juniper SRX-series) using EWF software. It quickly became apparent that any kind of https filtering requires a MITM attack. We were basically decrypting the patron's web traffic on our router, then encrypting it again with a different cert. When we realized what it would take, we had a HUGE interna...

ANNOUNCE: libguestfs 1.36 released
...ssh control and data connections. Virt-v2v no longer removes the "Processor" and "Intelppm" nodes from the Windows Registry. Xen and vCenter conversions can now be done using the libvirt backend, provided libvirt ≥ 2.1.0 is used. /dev/srX (SCSI CD-ROM) devices are ignored (Tomáš Golembiovský). When converting SUSE Linux guests, use /etc/modprobe.conf.local if it exists. Removing VMware tools from Linux guests should now work reliably (Pino Toscano). When converting OVA files, virt-v2v now checks...
