Hi I've got a samba pdc set up but I've got a strange problem. Everything works fine I can login with the roaming profile BUT I also need a local profile, without the local profile he says that he cannot find the domain name. And the local profile has to be administrator or he doesn't remember my preferences of all my programs and settings. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Lo folks, I have samba3 running on my redhat 8 system. Two shares are available: my "main" share and my "homes" shares. I cant set read-only attr on office files on my main share. But i can set them in my homes share. Ive read something about a bug beeing fixed in 3.0.1 but then i shouldnt be able to set read-only in my homes share ...or am i mistaking ? There is however

this module doesn't seem to want to work on anything but a root ubuntu filesystem. It won't work on any external drives or secondary drives just the main one. This poses as a problem for a system with several drives. if i delete on a secondary drive of any sort with any use in a samba share over smb i get the folders placed in the recycle bin but no file. Remove acl_attr at the end. It's another vfs object. The share name indicates that there might be quite large files. Do you hit a default(?) max limit which tells Samba to just discard the file?
