...en you would present this plan while looking for
a mentor.
Of course, you can expect help from the community in order to better
understand what needs to be done, but don't expect to be given a
detailed plan, just pointers.
Sorry again for my lack of feedback,
Martin

Using Jquery plugin "tokenInput" with rails
Hi,
I made a contact manager app using rails. I added TokenInput plugin to
introduce an instant contact search functionality in it. Tried following a
railscast http://railscasts.com/episodes/258-token-fields but have been
struggling with it for a while. Following is the code I use in my view
<%= form_tag({:action => ''show'', :id => @contact_tokens}, :remote =>

ssh 3.1p1 problems on SX-6...
Hello,
We are porting openssh-3.1p1 onto SX-6 running on SuperUX.
We landed into problem when we started running sshd with
the default encryption settings. As you would have already
seen on this mailing list.
Basically we are facing two problems (both client and servers
run on SX):-
1) If the we use the default encryption algorithm aes128-cbc
then we get a Bad Packet length problem on

Is there any basis/reason to believe that the .X suffix is a better, more
principled one than straight X? Is that documented somewhere as a thing the
demangling tools will ignore?

Meta-analysis mixed model
...weighting and random effects, but is only for binary data. The mima
function of Wolfgang Viechtbauer allows both weighting and random effects
but assumes that each row of data is from a separate study (not true in my
dataset).
Any help would be appreciated, as I seem to have hit a dead end.

Is there a way in which I can exclude the substring count and just take the

Thanks in advance.

tc show error for ingress
Hi,
I am trying to do both ingress and egress bandwidth management on a bridge.
eth0 is the WAN interface. IPTraf shows that the following script is running
successfully and it limits bandwidth both ways to 256 KB
However when I want to see the statistics using tc - it only shows me stats
for htb class
and not for ingress class. The tc output is as follows:
tc -s -d class show dev eth0

installing package 'rqpd' (Regression quantiles for panel data)
...;
So, in another attempt, I downloaded the older version of R (2.14) to see if the 'rqpd' package could be installed using the older version, but still I had no luck.
Is there any way I could still use this package?
Thank you for your help.
Best regards,

Question: Form a new list with the index replicated equal to the number of elements in that index
Dear R-Helpers,
I have a list l1 like:
l1[[1]]
a b c
l1[[2]]
d
l1[[3]]
e f
I want an output res like:
res[[1]]
1 1 1
res[[2]]
2
res[[3]]
3 3
Essentially, I want to replicate each index equal to the number of elements
present in that index.
Below is what I do to accomplish this:
l1 <- list(c("a", "b", "c"), "d", c("e", "f"))
