Changing Y axis in R
...ke to do is plot a y axis with a multiple scale, so if i have 10 equally spaced ticks, 0 to 8 would be the data between 0 and 30, and then tick 9 would be 80 and tick 10 130, so that the two outliers would be show in the graph. I think what i have seen is a graph with the axis on one scale, then a squiggly line to another scale, and a squiggly like to a third scale. RadRails question
...the list and then type in a name for the function. Is there a more streamlined way to do this? My second problem,and the lesser of the two, is that there is no in-line syntax checking. Sure, there''s a nice side bar that will complain if there''s a problem, but there''s no squiggly red underlining of the offending line. Can this be enabled by me? I really do want to like RadRails, it''s more polished than jEdit and a damn bit easier to look at, but these features that I take for granted in jEdit are deal breakers for me, -- -Matt Torok

RFC -- Improving the quality of the mailing lists
...s. Also, while replying to such requests may seem helpful, some of the requests indicate such a lack of basic understanding that giving the answer is like giving a small child a very sharp knife when they ask for a slice of bread. For example: "How do I delete these files that end in that squiggly thing in my current directory and all directories below?" Since most of these users are probably running as root, a simple "extra space here and a missed character there" ("rm --force --recursive /* ~" vs "rm --force --recursive ./*~" can have catastrophic con...

TSAN hack on AArch64 for Android

Captchas in Rails
Hello Everyone, I was wondering what people on this list were using to generate captchas within forms on sites they are developing? I know there is a ruby gem named captcha, but I have seen some others floating around as well. Thanks, Andrew -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

Hi, I have some problems and doubts connecting two asterisk servers. I have one asterisk (serverA), with 1 sip client registered (clientA). I have another asterisk (sever B), with another client (clientB). Now I want to call from client A to B and from B to A. Searching in google i find many configuration examples. For instance:

YUMREPO { productname => PowerEdge 2650}
Hello All, How do I specify a variable that has a space in it? I''m trying to setup a yum repo that has two different baseurl''s based on the product name ($productname). Default goes one way, but if the product is "PowerEdge 2650" then is a different URL. The thing is, that is only picking up the default. How should I specify the value with the space in the

Opencanvas 1.1b72 issues..
I've checked the application database and it apparently 'works', however, whenever I use it.. Well, I suppose I better get a screenshot of this weirdness to explain. http://img510.imageshack.us/img510/5865/screenshotxmi.png Look at the bottom.. see the squiggly line? Yeah, that's what's being drawn, and my cursor is waaaay far away from it. Not only that, but if you look to the side, any pen pressure causes it to go wild, making GIANT STREAKING LINES. >: Which looks neat, but, is not helpful when I want to draw. Apparently others have gotten i...

EM algorithm to find MLE of coeff in mixed effects model
I have a general question about coefficients estimation of the mixed model. I simulated a very basic model: Y|b=X*\beta+Z*b +\sigma^2* diag(ni); b follows N(0,\psi) #i.e. bivariate normal where b is the latent variable, Z and X are ni*2 design matrices, sigma is the error variance, Y are longitudinal data, i.e. there are ni
