I just bought a new cheap compaq presario sr5010nx and so far have been unable to get my dsl up and running on Centos5. pppoeconf on Ubuntu works just fine -- same machine -- same harddrive. I've run adsl-setup and system-config-network? (separately) numerous times without success. So far I suspect a missing driver but suppose it could also be a detection issue.
