troubleshooting echo on speakerphone
Hello all,
I'm looking to troubleshoot some echo issues and possibly "studdering" while
using the speakerphone with the Intellitouch ITC3002. On the hardware end, i
have a 2621 setup as the router with some policy maps for qos, and a 2900XL
with cos priority set to 5. I have setup created 2 vlans currently (really
small office), 1 for corp/data, and 2 voice vlan. Asterisk is on the 2nd
vlan as well as...

Handsfree Speakerphone
Hi,
What is out there in terms of SIP enabled handsfree speakerphones?
Looking for something that works well and also fits a low budget.
I am used to using a Cisco 7940. It is a great phone but a bit expensive.
Thought about the Polycom SoundPoint 300 until I realized that it does not
include speakerphone functionality.
Thanks,
Adi

grandstream budgetone 101
Maybe I'm loosing my mind but I've just noticed that if I put a call on
speakerphone and I press speakerphone again it hangs up the call, you
would expect it to take the call off speaker back on to the hand piece.
I'm using V 1.0.5.22 firmware.
Is there any other way to turn off speakerphone I'm missing?
Cheers,
Dean

multiline IP hardphone w/ FDX speakerphone?
Could someone please recommend a reasonably priced IP phone
that works well with *, has a decent (full duplex, echo canceling)
speakerphone, has at least two line appearances, and can
transfer / conference reliably?
The Wiki lists 35 brands of hardphone, but:
1. Most seem to be toys.
2. For many, there is no info on e.g. speakerphone characteristics.
3. When one seems technically promising, e.g. Polycom IP500, there
are *lots* of...

Grandstream speakerphone?
Idle curiosity: I like the look and feel of the Grandstreams, but it's
been my experience that the speakerphones suck (esp. when compared to the
pretty damn flawless Polycoms). I've used the BT-100/101 and GS-2000;
have any of their newer models changed that?
Thanks!

Semi-OT: Best Speakerphone
I'm looking for recommendations on speakerphones for a conference room.
We're using Grandstream GXP-2000 which we've been very happy with on all
accounts, except the speaker phone. Speaker phones on these units are
extremely bad, picking up any and all background as well as having
full-duplex issues (that is, when the other end is ta...

Hmmm...
Hands Free might be:
voice.gain.rx.digital.chassis="15" (15 is my setting)
Call waiting? You can turn it off in sip.cfg - do not disturb settings
I think. Don't know about gain for call waiting. You might try playing
with some of the variables in ipmid.cfg under

Polycom 330 Speakerphone
Anyone who has experience with the Polycom 330 know if the
speakerphone is loud enough to be heard in a 20 foot x 20 foot room?
The context is a classroom where announcements will need to be
made. The phone will be wall mounted at the front of classroom.
Thanks,
Matthew Brothers

1) The samples are empty? No, they have variables with settings. Maybe
I'm not understanding you.
2) I don't know how to dump the current settings to an xml file. You
might try increasing the log level, but I doubt you're going to get a
pretty looking xml file written to the log f...

Any help is appreciated.
1. We have horrible sound quality regardless of the codec we use in the

a software fix?
2. Speakerphone will not work for playing VM messages, it chops the
message into unintelligible fragments of audio. Any ideas?
3. Initially we have horrible introduction of background noise into the
handset earpiece which seems to quiet after there is audio on the other
end. Ideas?

These devices are deployed in our primary line and small PBX replacement
service provider offering.
Hard Phone: Grandstream 101
Good: Call quality, Feature support, Ease of setup, Price, Firewall support
Bad: Buttons are crap, cheap looking, speakerphone
Price: About $60-70 US
I use this phone to do all my testing and as my personal SIP device. My
biggest gripe of all is that if you attempt to "speed-dial", you will never
succeed. The buttons require a firm and definite press to register. I fail
1 out of 10 calls on this device simpl...
