GenoPro and GenoProbeta
I have been attempting to run GenoPro and GenoProbeta on Kubuntu linux.
Both worked a few upgrades ago, now with upgrades to Kubuntu and Wine
neither work. I'm a novice can someone offer advice and guidance on
this?
Thanks

Why is app defaulting to Captain Podd font?
...e Windhose installations of this
app default to a much more reasonable font.
Any suggestions for how to find out where/why/how this font
is being chosen as the default when run under Wine? Better
yet, any suggestions on how to force it to use something
more reasonable?
Thanks.

compiz/gl-x crashes my games!
I'm running Mandriva 2007 and like the eye candy of of the 3d desktop but wine
is more important to me. Whenever I start with with the 3d desktop turned on
though any 3d games I have will either crash or report that I don't have a 3d card.
Is there any way round this or am I to be denied the pleasure of the wibbly
wobbly windows?

Different settings for different programs
Is there a way to use different settings (ie: emulate virtual desktop,
amount of hardware sound acceleration, etc.) for different programs
run under wine? Failing that, is there a way to turn on / off the
emulation of a virtual desktop while running a program from the
command line? I'd like to be able to run only certain programs, the
ones that change the screen resolution, in a virtual

Wine Crashes X11
I'm using SuSE 10.2 on a x86 system. I was previously using suse 10.1
and wine was working fine. When I upgraded, i could not get wine
working again. Everytime i try to launch it, using any windows
program, it simply crashes x11 and i get back to xdm login screen. I
can not put more info here since i don't know how to get them. Does
wine save any log or something like?

latest on printing
Is there anyone on this list that can give an overview of what is
happening with the printer driver in WINE ?
As of version 9.24 I had functional printing with CUPS but in 9.25
and 9.26 I don't.
I'm just wondering if I am not aware of some new steps that I need to
do with each new release/compile cycle here.
I'm using 2.6.18 kernel and compiling from source.

Wine crashes the whole system with 3D games
Hi, I am running Ubuntu 6.10 AMD64 in an Athlon64 3500+ with a ATI
Radeon 9600XT with fglrx fully configured.
I have installed wine using the i386 package and installing the ia32
libs. It runs alright, DIablo II works better than Windows. But I am
having quite an issue with 3D Games.
I tested Warcraft III and MOHAA Breakthrough. Both of them look very
nice anti-aliased and smoother than in

64 bit compilation SUSE 10.2
Greetings All,
I am attempting to compile wine under the SUSE 10.2 64 bit
distribution, and am running into a bit of
a problem.
I have installed every 32 bit library that I could find in the
distro, including the xorg-X11 libs. I ran the following commands:
./configure --prefix=/usr --x-libraries=/usr/X11R6/lib
make depend && make
The compilation chugs away for about 15 min,
