syslinux-devel mailing list?
I'm wondering if people would think it would be a good thing or bad thing to create a separate mailing list for Syslinux development. We are having a large number of active developers by now, and it would be good to discuss things more explicitly via email, as opposed to IRC, so everyone gets it. However, it's not clear to me if it would be better to just leave it on this mailing list,

confint Attempts to Use All Server CPUs by Default
? Tue, 21 May 2024 08:00:11 +0000 Dario Strbenac via R-devel <r-devel at r-project.org> ?????: > Would a less resource-intensive value, such as 1, be a safer default > CPU value for confint? Which confint() method do you have in mind? There is at least four of them by default in R, and many additional classes could make use of stats:::confint.default by implementing vcov(). >

Ogg Vorbis Quality Analisis (+ bug) (+ misc)
I have run an ogg analisis using EAQUAL from -q 0 till -q 10 evaluating bitrate and quality. The results are shown in a nice graph, and can be seen here: http://audio.sinderman.com/ One thing I have found is a bug, as it is cleary shown by the blue lines. Other discoveries are written in that page, and others are still evolving in my mind :) The goals of this analisis is to help the developers

Black+White and Total Annihilation
Hey all I've been trying to get Black and White running under wine. I stick the CD in the drive (wine programs can usually use it), cd to my BnW folder, run "wine runblack.exe", twiddle my thumbs and it tells me to turn off the debugger. So I try again with "wine --debugmsg -all runblack.exe". This just results in the same thing, also printing one "FixMe.."

RC2 better than RC3? Graphed!
Well, this question comes once and again. I have RC3 and Garf's RC2 tuned versions (160 and 350) in a nice graph. Nobody should be surprised that RC3 is better, but in some cases GRC2 shows better EAQUAL/bitrate results. There seems to be room for improvement in RC3 with some tweaking. See it by yourself at http://audio.sinderman.com/ Cheers, AGS.

Interactive RC3 quality analysis graphs
This is the new page after the first feedback round: http://audio.sinderman.com/ Comments? Conclusions? Developers feedback? Can someone ABX 60.wav with 60.ogg -q 0? Cheers, AGS. P.S. Garf/Erik, I have included some comments from EAQUAL's author. <p>--- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ Ogg project homepage: http://www.xiph.org/ogg/ To unsubscribe from this
