Hi. I had to update the BIOS of a Silicon Image 3512A Serial ATA controller. I''m not using RAID. When I run the updater program (updflash.exe), it asks me to choose flash memory from a list, something like: AMD Am29F010B (1 Megabit), AMD Am29LV01B (1 Megabit), etc. How can I find out which is flash memory of the controller? Miredo is run as a server from the command line: /usr/sbin/miredo The man page says the signal SIGTERM stops the server. How do I send SIGTERM to the server? Or SIGHUP, as I want to make a change to the config file. And once I get this as I want it, how do I run it at system boot?

I'd like to increase the speed of the Asterisk sound files. Miss Alison talks a bit slow. I can use sox to increase the speed, but then the pitch changes and she starts to sound like a chipmunk. Any audio experts out there know how I can increase the speed a little bit, and change the pitch accordingly so that she sounds ... normal? Thanks Doug.

If you have the epel repo installed and enabled during a yum update, you get java-1.6.0-openjdk-1.6.0.0-1.0.b12.el5.2 instead of the stock .b09 version. Is this intentional and desirable? Hi, the latest upstream version of samba rpms for 5.2 is samba-3.0.28-1.el5_2.1. In the Centos 5.2 updates tree there is only samba-3.0.28-0.el5.8 which also is already part of the 5.2 os tree. Could it be that the updates tree just carries the wrong rpms? Best regards, Bernd
