Help Need with aov()
Hi there,
I'm using R1.0.1 Windows 98.
This file contains some inputs and an aov function code. Can someone
check it for me? Somehow I got completely different answer when typing
them in R and in Splus.
Splus gives me this:
> summary( Turnip.aov )
Error: Blocks

Fact based variables sowing up empty
I''ve got a single puppet master (2.7.19 + facter 1.6.11) controlling a
number of nodes (2.7.17 + facter 1.6.8-10). On all of thse, fact absed
variables work as expected (such as $::operatingsystem and $::fqdn).
However, on my puppet master, when I run ''puppet agent --test'' all fact
based variables are combing back as empty strings.
For example. I have a line in a

Residential router w/ QoS support?
Did anybody ever come across an affordable, residential cable/dsl router
with support for QoS?
The ones I've seen so far (Netgear, D-Link and W-Linx) do not seem to
support it. I noticed that even email can damage a G.711 stream on an
128kbit uplink, leave alone file-sharing applications. I understand this
is strictly related to *, but nevertheless of interest to many of us.

Protecting against kernel NULL-pointer derefs
All,
Given the amount of NULL-pointer dereference vulnerabilities in the
FreeBSD kernel that have been discovered of late, I've started looking
at a way to generically protect against the code execution possibilities
of such bugs.
By disallowing userland to map pages at address 0x0 (and a bit beyond),
it is possible to make such NULL-pointer deref bugs mere DoS'es instead
of code

know how realistic it would be to get up to a latest glibc, if this is
where the problem exists.
Can anyone point me in the right direction or provide some insight?

TMD card to buy.
Hi Rich, good advice about buying grandstream SIP handsets instead of
using analog handsets though I think you might that using a 30 channel
E1 in Hungary is tough to get.
Can you also explain to him about Channel Banks.

NNTP is officially dead. Most ISPs do not support it. It's been invented before WWW and should rest in piece now.

FW: smbmount problem
Hi
Sorry about the misplaced Q
I tried to use a script that when user will logon to the machine he will
mount to smb mount (instead of fstab if it's problem)
I sow on several places the option to use on /etc/fstab this line
//server/share /mnt/home smbfs noauto,user 0 0
and I tried to put on script smbmount //server/share /mnt/home -o
username=$USER and get

status of US mirror
When I try to go to
http://cran.us.r-project.org
I get sent to a location called "domains 4 sale" or something of that ilk,
indicating that some "URL scavenger" has flagged it as expired. Has something
happened, or is it just wishful thinking on some scavenger's part that the
URL is no longer pointing to the US CRAN mirror?

Image files in R
Does anyone have experience importing image files into R? I would like to be able to import such files, use R to analyze and compare and perhaps export again a modified file which can be displayed by the usual image display programs.
