RaislsEdge - where to get latest javascripts ?
To play with RJS I just made a "rake freeze edge". But this copies only the
libs into vendor/rails and any attempt of "rake update_javascripts" fails.
But all the he required javascripts are there, at:
BASEPATH/vendor/rails/actionpack/lib/action_view/helpers/javascripts/
Except of prototype, they seem to have no version number, so I am asking
whether I should take those

Amazing. He suggested you definitely reliable drive (Samsung). Reliable in
my boot too. You ask his opinion about yet another Corsair. One by Corsair
failed on you already. So, you should have better knowledge about
Corsair's SSD reliability, right?
Sorry to sound sour, it just amuses me how people keep buying things made
by the same company whose products already failed on them. This is what
creates the problem: keeps companies manufacturing bad hardware exist.

Moving/copying the MBR
...ves (hda & hdb) and 2 SATA drives (sda & sdb). The
MBR is on hda, but I would like (eventually or sooner) to boot from sda
because it is two years newer, faster and, hopefully, more reliable. Even
if I don't change that, I'd like a backup MBR on sda in case hda fails (hdb
has gone sour a few times due to something in the power setup, although no
data lost and it always comes back).
In order to copy the MBR, I'd also need to edit it because the drive
configuration would be different, as well as the location of my /boot
partition.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Porting Bochs bios to Xen/hvmloader?
Hello,
I found out what the problem in my other thread was, now I need to solve
it: I need to port a modified Bochs bios to Xen x86.
However, a file of the original source seems missing: acpi-dsdt.hex.
It''s neither in the tools/firmware/hvmloader/acpi directory nor in the
tools/firmware/rombios one. Also applying the diffs or manually editing
the source probably won''t work since the bios included in the Xen soure
seems to be a modified Bochs bios....

info an ARES/WAREZ
...ine: ARES/WAREZ It seems to be a gnuttela
clone, but different enouph for ipp2p not to identify it.
I played around a bit with tcpflow with no success of finding
something that could be taken as a positivie signature in its headers.
Is there any info of this new p2p network ? Any open soure client ?
Something that could be used to reverse engineer (at least partially)
its protocol ?
I will really hate to block all FORWARD traffic and I am willing (at
least try) to write a new filter for ipp2p.
Thanks for your time.
Dimitris.

[LLVMdev] debug intrinsic documentation
Hi, I just wanted to doublecheck that the docs on the debugger
intrinsics as seen on http://llvm.cs.uiuc.edu/docs/Sour
ceLevelDebugging.html are out of date w.r.t. function types being
displayed:
ie, shouldn't

be
%D1 = call {}* (%lldb.global*)* %llvm.dbg.func.start(%lldb.global* %d.main)
?
and,
call {} * %llvm.dbg.DEFINEVARIABLE
should be

OT: firewalls
What is everyone using for a firewall?
I'm currently using www.astaro.com but their recent releases have soured
me on ASL as a practical solution on my hardware (1.2MHz Athlon, 30G,
and 256M). I only have 4 computers going through the firewall wall but
it's consistently at 50% cpu load. There is very little network traffic

virt-inspector command hung up
...libguestfs: libvirt version = 1002008 (1.2.8)
libguestfs: guest random name = guestfs-w8hcve9rhu0dve4a
libguestfs: [00000ms] connect to libvirt
libguestfs: opening libvirt handle: URI = qemu://session, auth = default+wrapper, flags = 0
command hung on here.We review the libguestfs soure code
It seems that libguestfs call libvirt API virConnetOpenAuth failed but no returns.
And I set LIBVIRT_DEBUG=debug,and execute virt-inspect command again.
I find the command hung after function virFileFindResourceFull from libvirt debug log.

Question about Asterisk 12
...o a good, simple to understand
tutorial on the new CLI? I am so, so freaking lost! I'm not looking for
hand-holding, I just want to understand.
Something that will show me how to:
- create users
- configure SIP trunks
- configure basic dialplan
I'm lost - anyone point me to a resource that is easy to follow? Once I get
the jist, I think I'll be fine.
I looked on http://www.voip-info.org - maybe I missed it?
The Digium/Asterisk site - I see all sorts of cool things about the REST
API, but CLI - maybe I missed it!!?? - again, I could be looking in the
wrong place?

virt-v2v: default graphics driver for SUSE guests
Hi Mike,
in 2013 you added the support for SUSE guests in the old virt-v2v (the
one written in Perl); the commit doing it is attached, since the old
virt-v2v was hosted on fedorahosted.org, which is no more.
As part of that change, the default graphics driver was changed to be
cirrus for SUSE guests, and qxl (as before) for any other.
When Rich Jones rewrote virt-v2v in 2014 in OCaml, he kept

Question about --files-from= and folder structure
I'm writing a script to sync some mp3 files. Due to a limitation in the
number of destination files that can be read from my thumb drive, I'm
not looking to preserve the original file structure (actually, I'm
looking to sync *only the files* to the new destination directory).
The source files are all subfolders under /backup/Music:

./Adrian Legg/Mrs. Crowe's Blue Waltz/Sour Grapes.mp3

can the dialtone be changed after pressing 9?
extensions.conf has
ignorepat => 9
exten => _9X.,1,Dial(Zap/G2/${EXTEN:1})
The first user to try it asked if instead of keeping the same dialtone
after pressing 9, if I could play a different dialtone. Can this be
done? I'm running asterisk 1.0.0 in case that matters.

The future of centos
...or the (desktop?) community.
Since I don't feel it's my place to tell others how to behave, this
(lack of) response has me now looking for alternatives that are (maybe?)
more reliable and responsive. Since I've transitioned to a user that
just wants a reliable tool now, the 6.6 upgrade soured me big-time. Then
having the bug report serve only to grow mold, rather than getting the
(apparent) conflict twixt init, X, the (new?) init processes ... looked
at is sealing my decision to find a more reliable desktop distribution.
