It is also meant to simplify, in many ways, how to play sound files in
general. It moves the
code in Asterisk, out into the soundpack. Now, the "soundpack" will contain
everything necessary to play sounds at a high level thru Asterisk.
It is hoped that "SoundPacks" can be standardized, so that they
will not only work on Asterisk, but other phone systems as well.

Asterisk Language Status
In putting together the SoundPack code, I am looking at the
various language/locale specific code, and wondering how it all
really stands...
So, share with me, non-English speakers, what is your experience
and impression?
I heard a few comments during AstriDevCon, that some of the languages are
not quite right; some said their language was understandable, but...

SaySentence update - CALL FOR HELP

into separate files. Clean them the best you can. Get them in the
best, highest quality format you can. 44+ kiloherz wav pcm files
if possible. I'll get them into a good format; Asterisk trunk
can handle sln32 or higher file formats. My intention is that
the sound files in soundpacks will be a single best choice format.
When installing sound packs, the files can be converted into any
combination of formats you wish. We can use Asterisk itself to
convert the files, or sox. All I know is that the higher quality
the source sounds are, the better off you'll be conve...
