I have setup a stream running icecast 1.3.7 and liveice. I would like lto list my stream in the icecast directory, but I dont want the song being played to show up in the dir listing. I may be a bit behind, since I haven't looked at the latest documentation in CVS. My apologies if these problems have already been solved. I think having a default file name is a good idea, but it should be just a default. There should also be a '-o' option to specify the output file name. This option would only apply if there is one input. '-o' should also accept a

Hi all, Is there an effort underway to support lyrics (or, more generic, subtitles) in Ogg streams ? I'd say the best place for such textual data would be in it's own stream (Ogg/Tolkien for all I care ;) with time-indices for when a certain word is said by who. This allows for karaoke style lyrics and for simple full text lyrics dumps. It could also be used for subtitling/closed

So before i knew better, i encoded a lot of my CDs in flac and added id3 tags (they worked, so great!). I know i've seen mention of others doing this; anyone gone to the trouble to write a tag conversion tool? Hi all, It has recently come to my attention that the linux "file" utility reports some (but not all) of my flac files as having a mime type of "audio/mpeg". Obviously this is incorrect, but why is it reported as such? Samba List: Is it possible to limit what filename extensions can be stored in a samba share? We use samba to allow our windows web designers to use drag and drop when deploying new pages on our website. We want to be able to limit which filename extensions can be saved to these shares.
