And to get it all, use it like this :
sudo make 2>&1 &>somelogfile
or even better
sudo make 2>&1 |tee somelogfile to see the messages and have them recorded at the same time.

to startUpFile.
(ii) The Smalltalk app does something like this to start R on secondMachine:
ssh secondMachine R < startUpFile > someLogFile
(iii) R sends the inPort port number back to Smalltalk.
(iv) Whenever Smalltalk wants R to do something, it opens a client connection
to inPort on secondMachine and writes R code to it. It closes the

whacked keyboard behavior CLI
Hi there --- for some reason I am getting really weird keyboard behavior
on the CLI (no xfs or anything running). Centos 4.4 yummed up.
For example if i type "root" to login, I get "rot" or sometimes
"roooooot". Then other times I will have to press a key like 3 times to
get a double character.
Now at first I thought maybe it was the keyboard, but it seems to

I support around 15 Windows 2000 Clients who log into and have home
directories on a Samba PDC running under RedHat 7.3. The version of
samba I am using is 2.5.5. All the clients use Word97 SR2 and they all
get the following error while working on documents stored on their home
directories on the PDC:

DLL not loading, msjava.dll, Encyclopedia Britannica
Hi,
excuse me if my problem is something obvious, but I'm lost and couldn't find
any useful information (is there a search function for the list archive?). Im
new to Wine (and only recently switched to Linux).
Problem:
I'm trying to run the Britannica Encyclopedia 2000 (BCD2000), but when I start
it I get the error message (in a popup window) "Unable to start the
application
