samba does not display all directories
Hello all,
A solaris server named bellow solarisserver share via samba (Samba 3.0.13) with network.
Bellow an extract from the smb.conf file.
[global]
workgroup = WORKGROUP
server string = solarisserver
security = SERVER
password server = passwordserver
username map = /C/netlocal/samba/lib/users.map
log...

rsyncing devices
...everything correct except the device's MAJOR number.
But since it runs daily in a cronjob, rsync notices that the device
isn't correct the next day and proceeds to re-copy this device over again.
Here's my rsync command:
rsync -avx --delete --exclude=lost+found --exclude=TT_DB \
user@solarisserver::solaris-usr-local/ /solaris/
I've also tried adding the -D flag (which is included in the -a flag).
Anyone with any suggestions?

Authentication Problem
Hi Folks,
I got a little problem with authentication. I set up samba 3.0.0 and squid
2.5stable4, using winbind to
authenticate users via group with the nt4 domain pdc.
Anyway... sometimes the authorization/authentication doesn't work.
In the first test I had no problems surfing the net via proxy, and some
minutes later I get an access denied message with the same user... so this

Separate Zil on HDD ?
Hi all,
I have a home server based on SNV_127 with 8 disks;
2 x 500GB mirrored root pool
6 x 1TB raidz2 data pool
This server performs a few functions;
NFS : for several ''lab'' ESX virtual machines
NFS : mythtv storage (videos, music, recordings etc)
Samba : for home directories for all networked PCs
