...built and installed the tuntap devices for Solaris from the sources here below :- http://www.whiteboard.ne.jp/~admin2/tuntap/ However, when I tried to get tunctl to build it failed with an include file errors in net/if.h ; building this should allow be to configure tap device without calling the sol_qemu_tap.
