Syslinux-6.03 getting stuck with kernel boot.
Hi every one,
I am trying to load a custom kernel with Syslinux on special purpose pc.
Surprisingly Syslinux-4.06 boots my kernel, initrd and finally the OS
perfectly from an SD-Card. The problem arises when I use the Syslinux-6.03
where the syslinux hangs right at the beginning After I see the message
'Loading vmLinuz0 ...'
I read a few posts on your forums and figured out it has to do

Hype The Time Quest Regression
There's an old Ubisoft game called "Hype the Time Quest".
For many Wine versions, Wine could not get past the Hype installer. It would go up to 117% and fail. Then a version came where if you unchecked the DirectX check, the install would work (or maybe that's all you had to do to begin with). But the game would fail to start with an error about MaiD3Dvr_bleu.exe. Then a Wine

Installing RHEL On Laptop.....
Not sure if this is the right place to come to, but I don't have "RHN"
support.....I'm hoping someone can help me out here.
I have downloaded the RHEL .ios file and burned it to DVD/CD, my laptop
is primed to Boot From CD/ROM Drive, I start the installation using the
semi-graphical interface, and the first few options are a breeze, then
it gets to identifying the CD drive

They are dirt cheap on ebay, from Hong Kong with free shipping. I would
go all the way and max it out.
I would also recommend that you go for a light weight DM such as XFCE

Linux desktop setup with authentication against Samba AD DC
Hi folks,
This is post no. 2, with technical information of how I set up the Linux
PCs, and additional information about setting up the server shares. It
will give the basic outlines to those trying to setup something similar,
using another Linux distribution. I will not go into any detail about
setting up the OS, and similar tasks, as it is assumed that the

Power burn test
I need a program that will just run everything at max so I can measure
the max power used on some systems. My 'Kill a Watt' meter should show
up early next week.
SO run that CPU at max, using all memory, and keeping the harddrive
spinning.
I can jsut do pings on the lan card for it to stay awake.
I have searched here and on the net and have come back with nothing.
