opensolaris crash in vn_rele()
My newly upgraded opensolaris 2008.11 laptop crashed last weekend. (The OS was installed from the os 2008.11 live-cd and then upgraded using the package manager to snv_111.) I was trying to copy a large virtual pc image from my wife''s imac to the laptop. On a whim I had decided to create a separate zvol in the root pool to contain the image, figuring I could create a vbox with linux or windows to run vmware''s conversion tool (not even knowing whic...

Keymap definitions via virsh XML definition?
Hi, up to this point, I had never bothered about local keymap settings for my domUs because I only ever used RDP to access windows domains and serial for solaris/linux, but today I really needed to use the VNC console with a german keyboard layout. This is still on snv_111 I had tried setting <graphics type=''vnc'' port=''5900'' keymap=''de''/> in the XML definition, but that didn''t work. The only solution I had found was to use xm list -l <DOMIN> >file.sxp edit the file, replace all &quo...

snv_110 -> snv_121 produces checksum errors on Raid-Z pool
I have a 5-500GB disk Raid-Z pool that has been producing checksum errors right after upgrading SXCE to build 121. They seem to be randomly occurring on all 5 disks, so it doesn''t look like a disk failure situation. Repeatingly running a scrub on the pools randomly repairs between 20 and a few hundred checksum errors. Since I hadn''t physically touched the machine, it seems a
