Yum provider using version-release as version?
Hi,
I''m using yum as our package provider and having an issue. Puppet is
complaining of the version, this is the code I''m trying to implement:

package { "net-snmp": ensure => "${snmp_version}"; }
On the client I got:

Tripplite SNMPwebcard communication lost and established randomly
...fter a few hours I started getting emails and messages in the console about communication lost (COMMBAD) and shortly after it being established. This happens over and over again. I thought perhaps I needed to change some of the settings in ups.conf. I tried adjusting the pollfreq up to 30, using an snmp_version v2c, and a few other adjustments. However the behavior persists.
I just stated to use NUT. I'm not sure if NUT is causing this, or perhaps the SNMPwebcard in the UPS. Or perhaps a switch on the network. And I'm not really sure how to figure it out. I'm starting with NUT since that is t...

Help with snmp ups
...;m stuck! I'm running fedora core 5, and have installed
net-snmp and nut. I'm trying to get my network connected UPS to this linux
machine.
My /etc/ups/ups.conf looks like this:
[upsnetwork]

port = 172.31.254.7
community = public
desc="Network ups"

mibs = apcc
My /etc/sysconfig/ups looks like this (I'm not even sure what uses this

ups.status don't switch to "OB LB"
...rything seems to work fine, upsc output looks good [2] except that I can?t get the low battery state "OB LB? as usual (it works fine with others UPS like APC or Dell). Here is the configuration :
[lgups]
driver = snmp-ups
port = 192.168.99.60
community = public
snmp_version = v2c
mibs = auto
pollfreq = 30
Nut version is 2.7.2 (Debian Jessie package).
I begin to suspect that the snmp driver or MIB didn?t get the change, is it possible ? or could it only be the UPS itself (snmp bug or configuration issue) ?
Any idea on how can I dig more about that ?...
