getting test added to the standard test suite.
Found a corner case.
Is there a way to get stuff like this added to the test suite? The canonical Markdown.pl handles it properly, but markdown.py doesn't. I've sumitted a bug report, but haven't checked any other implemenations.

...he process. How is that possible?
This was all done against today's CVS.
I don't know which messages in the trace might indicate
what is going wrong. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,

Segfaults, winebuild, and glibc 2.2.3
I just upgraded my Linux box to glibc 2.2.3. Before the upgrade (glibc
2.1.92), wine compiled and ran beautifully. After, however, winebuild
segfaults for no apparent reason. Upon running ldd, I found that it is
properly loading all libraries. I do have one question, however. Does
the package glibc-profile have any effect on this? If it does, problem
(probably) solved. Otherwise, I'm

Minor regexp oversight for setext headings
Noticed the patterns for setext style headings are:
^(.+)[ \t]*\n=+[ \t]*\n+
Should be:

Make --html4tags the default?
Seeing how no-one should send application/xhtml+xml to the browser
[1], and development of the HTML standard is again happening [2], it
would make sense to have Markdown.pl default to HTML tags.
Maybe too late to change a default though.
How does PHP Markdown and other implementations deal with this issue?

find the right (wine) path
wine version 20001002 running in rh7. installed and working.
Have a newbie question about command line paths to access windows apps.
No problem accessing anything in c:\windows eg freecell.exe by the simple
command # wine freecell.exe
the mount directory is named /dos (and is in /etc/wine/wine.conf under
Drive c) so I assume that the command
# wine /dos/agent/agent.exe should bring up the
