DocBook XML conversion progress
Everyone, Progress was slow today. I started out well, but then I ran into Documentation.htm. Progress slowed considerably, as I analyzed the document structure. I''m up to /etc/shorewall/hosts Configuration. I hope to finish Documentation.xml by tomorrow evening. Converted documents: 6to4.xml CorpNetwork.xml FAQ.xml Please post feedback, if you see any problems with the converted

Documentation/Website Snafu
As I announced earlier, I have installed an early release of SuSE 9.3 on several of my systems here. Included in that release is Docbook XSL 1.68. This version of the XSL "deprecates" use of a feature that I have been using to provide shading of examples and quotes within the documents ("deprecates" is in quotes because that is the word in the warning message produced by

AsteriskGUI Create VoiceMenu SNAFU
Hi All, I'm new to Asterisk, but am a relatively accomplished Linux guy (RH5.1) .. I'm using the Asterisk-GUI to try and create a menu for incoming calls on an Analog Trunk. I have recorded some .WAV files for the menu, but when I try to upload the files, I get an AG101 message. So I copied the files to /var/lib/asterisk/sounds/record .. when I go to the Voice Menu Prompts

rsync 2.6.5 'max verbosity' snafu
Continuing with my backup script (see previous post), I've found a small oops regarding the 'max verbosity' option for rsyncd.conf In the manpage this option is listed as a module option. Poking through the source, however, shows that it's parsed as a global option (loadparm.c). If it's a question of which end to change, I would find this option being per module much more

Bind Issues
I'm running bind in a chroot environment. It seems that since the Redhat snafu which wrecked bind (yes, I had caching nameserver running as well but not anymore) I have been having problem with my slave nameservers retrieving updates from the master. Looking at the zone records, some are owned by root, some are owned by named. I'm now confused as to what the ownership should be and

Double posting
I do not know if i am seeing things, but it seems there has been a lot of double posting lately. It seems it has been only a short while since it started. i thought it might only been some people, though i am seeing an increasing amounts of this lately. Is there something going on with the list or is it a snafu that i have noticed something. letting my big mouth run like always. ;-) Steven

A suggestion
Tom, I was upgrading a remote firewall, when upon restart, shorewall found a rule with a wrong zone and decided to not continue and stop itself. The problem now, is I cannot access that firewall over ssh anymore. One suggestion would be to instead of "shorewall stop" to have a basic emergency rule with only ACCEPT:info all all tcp ssh rule instead with DROP all policy. Shorewall could

Problem with 'sed' on one Windows bot?
As Davide suggests, most likely it's a bot software installation snafu. But the simpler sed script works perfectly, and I'll do that for now. I had understood that LLVM expected people to install GnuWin32, but maybe it's not sufficiently well specified about versions and whatnot. --paulr > -----Original Message----- > From: davide.italiano at gmail.com [mailto:davide.italiano

PR#1132.
Just now I again had occasion to want nested describe lists in a documentation file. I found that the bug which I reported on 18 October, 2001 still persists. I checked on the bug report at the R web page, and found that the notes say ``Not a problem in R 1.4.0 (2001-12-08)''. Well, it's still a problem for me --- using R 1.4.1. Lookups in R
Hey all; I'm a beginner++ user of R, trying to use it to do some processing of data sets of over 1M rows, and running into a snafu. imagine that my input is a huge table of transactions, each linked to a specif user id. as I run through the transactions, I need to update a separate table for the users, but I am finding that the traditional ways of doing a table lookup are way too slow to
