Relay with Sendmail
I need to only accept emails on my MAIN POP/IMAP server from 3 servers
(under my control (front line MX servers)) & local users who have local POP
accounts.
ALL other emails need to be blocked.
What is the best way of doing this ?
Thanks

Your best best is to use qmailrocks installation it works great and
includes smtp routes. Use your isp's smtp server to relay everything. I
am using it on this server to send you this. There is even a way to set it
up with smtpauth
Also I don't have a problem with a dynamic ip since I have a client
installed there is a couple of places that seem to do a better job then
others. I used dnsexit because it is free so far no complaints.

mail_executable's process environment
Hello,
I recently had to get Dovecot 1.1.4 to write to a "pop3/imap-before-
smtp" db such that my MTA could permit relay after a successful
authentication with Dovecot.
The 'pop3' and 'imap' processes are executed only after a successful
auth, so replacing them with wrappers which write to the db seemed the
natural choice. Lo and behold, someone thought of

[CORRECTED] Postfix SMTP authentication on remote relay serve
Sorry about the previous post, I see the subject had a typo. So here's
the correct one :)
Does anyone know how to configure Postfix to use SMTP authentication
on a relay host?
i.e. I have a Linux server, running PostFix on an ADSL line with a
dynamic IP. Thus I can't just send out emails from this server but
need to relay it via our ISP's SMTP server, which is very unreliable.

OT: Sendmail question
Hi, all
I want voicemails to be delivered to recepients by e-mail. I have set up
voicenail, and I can see asterisk is using sendmail to send messages out.
Using Ethereal, I can see that messages are leaving my network, but
receipeint mail server never replies back. As a result, mail delivery is
timed out.
I got a book on sendmail and it looks quite complex. It will take quite a
bit of time

FAX Options
Hi,
Is FAXing with Asterisk a practical option ? Or is it better just to
use a plain fax connected to an FXS and just switch with Asterisk. I
specifically wanted to know if there was any experience using just the
fax scanner to send faxes and receive them via asterisk and the to
e-mail. My idea was to take my old fax connect it to an FXS port and
send faxes with the fax machine (using the fax

Hi
Hoping someone can help me (a newbie).
I am trying to construct a tree using tree() in package tree. One of the
fields is a factor field (owner), with many levels. In the resulting
tree, I
see many NA's (see below), yet in the actual data...
