Windows 8 polices are not applied
...e redirected folders in the
policy in order to point all pc's to the new NAS. It seems the policies
are not applied as i still see the computers try to use the old NAS.

Zone Paging
I see a lot of chatter in the archives about intercom and paging, but
has anyone addressed zone paging? Each of the 50 telephones in a large
clinic would be members of one or more paging zones. Someone could then
page Dr. X in zone #1. Would this be possible with analog phones? SIP?
Thanks,
Mike

Asterisk to switch on electric heaters remotely?
Hello
I'm sure someone has already tried this: I use a couple of electric
heaters to heat my office.
I'd like to somehow connect them to Asterisk so that I could switch
them on remotely by either calling the IVR or sending an e-mail to the
Asterisk host, so that the room is warm when I get to the office :-)
Any information appreciated.
Thank you.

endianness and bit fields in struct{}
Good Day
Is any work in the LLVM development community are pointed to expanding IR
model to support bit fields and arbitrary endianness manipulations?
I'm looking on LLVM as a backend for data language compilator.
I'm working with IoT (Lora) and has a problem with data format
specification for a wide variety of end-node devices (M2M/SmartHome).

Door buzzer.
Hello,
I have a customer who has their front door integrated to their current
phone system. If someone presses the buzzer, the secretaries phone will
ring, and she can talk to the person at the door. By pressing ** she
can release the door.
Anyone have any sort of integration like this. Are there IP devices
anyone is using?
They have a pizza box server as their asterisk server with

Doorphone vs. Grandstream BT101
I've done all the googling I can on this, and have come to the
conclusion that a Grandstream BT101 can be abused to be a door phone.
Could someone with access to one, confirm that the following is possible?
Researched:
1. When set to auto-answer, dialing the phone will result in a short
beep and instant speaker-phone connection.
2. When pressing the "message" button while

Is there any Asterisk controllable thermostat?
I am wondering if there is any such thermostat available which can be
controlled from Asterisk. Like you call your home pbx, dial some extension,
e.g. 333 and it asks to set the temperature, you enter a temperature, and it
sets the thermostat to that temperature. This thermostat will be very
useful, e.g. when you're coming back home after a few days and now its
snowing and you want home to be
