This is an error in the build, yes, but I don't see why you'd get unresolved
symbols. *unused*, yes, but not unresolved...

VC6 Project file
...and will do away with these crashes in
multithreaded programs, I suggest that the VC6 file should be changed to
use the multi-threaded libs. I'm not a Win32 coder, I'm just basing
this off a report from one of my coworkers, so if I got something wrong
you have my apologies in advance.

What if, at least for Windows, someone wrote a simple application which when
associated with .ogg files and an .ogg file was opened simply read enough of
the ogg stream to identify the type of content and then

TAG-mess
Hi,
<p>here's my €0.02 on that topic.
First of all, all those new tags are total overkill to be standardized.
They're only useful for people who both tag OGG files for a living and
listen to classical music only. Imagine what will happen when the Jazz
fans, and the Techno fans, and the Rock fans and who knows else demands
his very own, customized + standardized set of tags. And

album portion of the tags request
I wanted to post publicly my problem with Jonathan's proposed album
requirements. Although I do apologize, since this thread is too big already.
The idea that as a requirement one should be able to identify the exact CD
a track was ripped from is not a valid requirement in my book (not for the
tags at least), and I hope I can explain why. Without knowing the exact

vorbiscomment gui ideas
I was playing in Glade tonight with couple of GUI ideas for the vorbis
comment editor. I've attached the glade file.
A few notes:
On the user-friendly version, we might want an "Advanced" tab that would
pop up the user-hostile version to edit "non-standard" comment tags.
