Hi,
Sorry again about the slippage. Work has been pretty crazy.
So, for the freedesktop.org Platform v1.0, the date of July 31st has
slipped to accommodate several factors: post-OLS discussion, the n...

Audio Speed Variability
I have a video conference like application that I've been working on for
a while now, and a recent change is causing some odd problems, and I was
wondering if anyone else had seen problems like this. The issue I'm
seeing is that when using the sound card for capture, the audio will
eventually get about 1-2 seconds out of synch (delayed), from the
video. However, if I use USB devices

TE410P timing and multiple, different spans
.... Things look roughly like
this:
#1 Goes to PBX -- we're responsible for timing
#2 E&M span to telco 1
#3 PRI span to telco 1
#4 PRI span to telco 2
If I set primary sync source to span 2, users report strange echo,
distortion, and crosstalk problems, which sound remarkably like frame
slippage on spans 3 and 4. If I set it to use #3 as primary, the other
spans report problems, etc. Generally, it seems like the clocks just
aren't quite close enough to make things work right all of the time. I
don't forsee either involved telco doing anything at all about this.
Is there any...

dovecot performance question
Hi, using the latest dovecot with pop3/imap. Using mostly outlook 2003 for
pop3 and squirrel mail imap.
I have a lot of users reporting back that imap is very slow. We average
about 300 imap and another 700 pop session at any given time.
Here's my config:
disable_plaintext_auth: no
login_dir: /usr/local/var/run/dovecot/login
login_executable(default): /usr/local/libexec/dovecot/imap-login

PDF fonts problem
Dear List,
I am writing a paper in Hungarian, that I Sweave and than pdfLaTeX.
Everything is fine, except for two accented letters in the graphs that
behave strange, though on the screen and in eps exports they look
perfect. The problem is that I need pdf graphs, since I would like to
have a PDF after LaTeX-ing.
For the example below I downloaded the following two font sets:

Return error instead of dying on time back skip?
Hello everybody!
Currently, dovecot just kills itself if it detects that time has moved
backwards more than a hardcoded number of seconds. I accept the
reasons, but I do not like to restart dovecot manually after waiting
for time to move forward again. A cron job would not help, because
time might still be wrong when it restarts dovecot.
All our systems run ntpd, but they might be offline

Hiera and environments
Hey there,
I''m new to hiera and I'' m looking to configure it to use multiple
environments. I''m able to query hiera keys from using the hiera CLI,
however my clients seem to be having problems identifying the look up
variables.
*On the puppet master, CLI query*

PRI problem???
I have just finished installing a new asterisk box at my work. The box is
quite hefty, dual Zeon 2.8s with SCSI drives and 2Gb of memory. I have a 4
port Digium T1 card for channel bank and PRI access.
I activated a PRI from a local CLEC (DMS-500 based, National protocol).
This PRI is on slot 2 of the card and is set as the primary timing source.
It is ESF/B8ZS.
All the software is latest

FXS or VOIP
Hi
I am setting up a phone system for a small office.
The office will have 5-8 phones and a fax line.
There are 4 hunt lines coming into the office.
We have made no hardware purchase yet.
Being an asterisk newbie, before I suscribed to this list I just
assumed that I would buy voip phones and connect
all the phones to a private ethernet network.
However, I see many people inquiring about FXS

[FEEDBACK] Governance of GlusterFS project
Hello everyone,
We are in the process of formalizing the governance model of the
GlusterFS project. Historically, the governance of the project has been
loosely structured. This is an invitation to all of you to participate in
this discussion and provide your feedback and suggestions on how we should
evolve a formal model. Feedback from this thread will be considered to the
