Interrupt handling
Hi everyone, I recently installed R 1.8.1 on some of our machines and noted quickly that the handling of interrupts has changed since version 1.8.0. Are there any plans to reintroduce the old behaviour as a feature when compiling R or even better as a command line option? The problem is that we are extensively calling C functions from R which take quite a large time to finish. With the new

Dovecot 'suicide'
I have a Dovecot installation on a Fedora 4. With the last update from Dovecot RC10 to Dovecot RC27, the daemon kills itself every night with this error: Mar 17 05:23:11 mail dovecot: Time just moved backwards by 6 seconds. This might cause a lot of problems, so I'll just kill m yself now. The error appears just after the night maintenance script executes a ntpdate syncronization ntpdate

...sages in the following). For the quasi-poisson, we found even stronger differences with another, bigger database on which we worked (residual variance from approx. 0.7 to 1.2). We also tested the differences between versions for plain likelihood families (poisson and binomial): the differences were slighter, and were actually very small in the case of the poisson family. My first reaction was that the later version should have been better. However, the quasibinomial results of this version are rather strange. Therefore, I simulated a bigger data set corresponding to Poisson and binomial mixed models...

HTB and bittorrent, won''t work
Hello, I''ve been trying to shape the bittorrent traffic (on my external interface, upload), but without luck, for this I''m using layer7 filter right now, but I''ve also tried ipp2p, with the same results, I might say that this is not a problem with this packet classifiers, the problem is with HTB, here''s why. When I open azureus (the bittorrent client I
