Domain member, security = ADS|domain and trusts with NT4
...Samba server (3.0.21b) set up as a member server in
an NT4 domain (with a real Windows NT4 PDC). We are migrating to an
Active Directory domain (with a real Windows 2003 domain controller).
We have set up a two-way trust between the old NT4 domain "CLUNKY" and
the new ADS domain "SLEEK" (aka sleek.local). The Samba server is a
member of the CLUNKY domain (security = domain) and authentication is
against the PDC for the CLUNKY domain.
How can I ensure that users in both CLUNKY and SLEEK can access the
Samba server? Will joining the Samba server to SLEEK with security = AD...

Quick win... command to remove all attachments from an Inbox
Good evening all,
Does anyone know of a doveadm command I can use to remove (delete) all
attachments from an mdbox Inbox?
I prefer to save my attachments and have a sleek Inbox... but sometimes I
forget. A command I can feed into a cron job would be ideal.
Many thanks,

Modular Xen
It seems to me that Xen is full of stuff that aren''t beneficial for
everybody, this includes NUMA, ACM and other stuff that certain
companies try to introduce... In a better world, the Xen binary would
have been more sleek and fast, and those extra features should be
loaded via stating a Module boot line in Grub. This way, testing would
be easy and it''s more elegant than using a compilation flag.
Are there any thoughts to make Xen more modular in this manner?
It can be a real improvement for all of us freel...

Variance-covariance by factor
Dear all,
I have a data frame with one factor and four numeric variables and
wish to obtain the var-cor matrix separately by factor. I tried by() and
sapply() but getting nowhere. I understand this can be done by subsetting
the dataframe, but there should have some sleek ways of doing it.
Here is a simulated dataframe;
s <- rep(c("A","B","C"), c(25,22,18))
d <- c(rnorm(25,14,2.6),rnorm(22,15.2,2.8),rnorm(18,16.4,3.0))
h <- c(rnorm(25,10,1.4),rnorm(22,11.2,1.8),rnorm(18,12.3,2.0))
l <- c(rnorm(25,6.8,1.6), rnorm(22,7.0,1....

Subject: RE: [Asterisk-Users] VON show report
Well, the best new product that I saw was the IAX (or was that SIP?)
WiFi 2500 hard phone that Mark demo'd for everyone at the Mexican joint
after dinner...Hans, do you have a pic of that sleek, modern yet dare I
say haute couture look? I think that Digium could take over the world
with that thing...maybe it should be the reference platform for
SIPFoundry? ;-)
Cheers..Todd

A Nightmare on Rails Street: Windows Lives!
Just spent 40+ hours in two days deploying my app on Windows 2000. Not
all the time was Apache/MySql related, but a significant portion was.
What a nightmare that was. Unfortunately, the customer is dead-set on
"standardizing" by using Windows. So, as I sat there between a Linux
box and an AIX box working on this thing, I ran into problems, part of
which were:
CGI was slow (Dell

Rails on a Mac - I''ve seen the light
...ts awesome.
7. Rails likes Macs more than Windows (Well, at least I think so).
For those that haven''t experienced the new Intel Macs, I suggest you
give it a try as I''ve been very happy. Honestly if I was Dell I''d be a
little worried about the new Macs, they are fast, sleek, and ready to go
out of the box. They are not loaded with AOL, Compuserver, MSN, etc.
garbage or other spyware apps. The MacBook will be my next purchase.
Well, actually now that I think of it if I was Dell I''d proably shutdown
the company and give the money back to the shareholders...

Doorphone vs. Grandstream BT101
I've done all the googling I can on this, and have come to the
conclusion that a Grandstream BT101 can be abused to be a door phone.
Could someone with access to one, confirm that the following is possible?
Researched:
1. When set to auto-answer, dialing the phone will result in a short
beep and instant speaker-phone connection.
2. When pressing the "message" button while

Centos laptop support
Today I found myself in need of a laptop to run Centos on. And that simple statement led to an all-day odyssey.
My original plan was to purchase a laptop and install Centos 6 on it. I went to Staples and tried booting it on every model of laptop that they had in the store. They all come with Windows 8 installed, and for the edification of anyone who doesn't know this (I didn't until

mountpoint
can anybody explain to me the mountpoint that is mentioned by icecast
version 1.3.12?
I see that the mountpoint is /default
what does this mean and how can I change it in the icecast.conf file.
I am running this on a freebsd 4.7 STABLE release.
